Very well. Needed a water heat within 4 weeks (so I didn't need to buy more oil and it was installed in 10 days from initial contact. Delivery and install timely, professional and they were very careful to manure the water heater carefully through the house and down very narrow basement stairs and around corners. They listened carefully to my requests, confirmed and kept me informed. The install and plumbing was professionally done and quicker than expected considering the running of new copper lines. Re the post below: I also had hot water off the furnace and was planning on shutting the furnace down. They told me they'd leave the furnace connected to make sure everything worked and was running properly because it took 2 hours to get the water to temperature. When you shut a furnace down you should know that it'll take a service call to start it up again. (It's not a car). I shut mine down 72 hours after install and hope to never try and have it restarted! :-) PS Heat pumps rock! My only criticism is they did not tell me anything about the warranty. I already sort of knew but the paper warranty included with the manual would seem to be all you need when you actually have to go online and register it. Some people wouldn't know that. They did explain/show where the filter was and how to clean it. The office staff was helpful even though I called multiple times for info. Like everyone right now they are swamped with calls and new business and short handed at times. Overall ery happy with my choice of companies!

I really can't figure out what this company's approach to customer service is, if they've ever actually heard the term before, that is. I called them to install an electric water heater in my home which was done on July 1. I then tried turning on my oil furnace on or about the 15th of September to check on it for the heating season as I wished to use it only as a backup for my new electric heat pump system which is being powered by my solar rooftop panels. The furnace wouldn't turn on and as it was working perfectly before Gelinas installed the water heater I asked them to find out what was wrong. A repairman came and told me that there were some wires that needed to be connected and there were some other things, unspecified, that he did to the furnace burner. It worked fine after he was done and he charged me $165. I paid it but was not happy that I had to pay that much since my furnace had worked fine until the Gelinas people showed up in July. So I called the company and spoke to the service manager who told me that I told the workmen in July to disconnect the furnace while they were installing the water heater so that's why they did it. I obviously never told them to do that as I wanted to use the furnace as a backup system in case I needed it in really cold weather. I mean, why would I tell them to disconnect the furnace if I wanted to use it as a backup. Makes no sense to me but this is what he insisted happened so I said the **** with it and just wrote off the money. At least, I figured, the furnace would now work. However, the first of this month I again turned on the furnace to check that it was fine. It started up and then turned off after about 30 seconds. I called Gelinas and left a message but never heard back from anyone. I called again this past Monday, the 16th and got someone on the phone after a long wait, a woman, who told me that the company would not come to my home any more because I had been placed on some sort of blacklist and the company would not have anything to do with me. She didn't know why, she said, although I didn't believe that, and so I said thanks and hung up. I cannot understand why they did what they did, why their service people lied to their service manager and why they seem so intent on ripping off their customers like this. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with since I bought my house and I can't understand how they stay in business if this is how they treat people.

I had to have a system removed because it was too large for the site; after they had installed a second one elsewhere in the house not realizing there was sufficient capacity in the first one...which they maintained. They charged for air filters left for me to change...only to find they'd left the wrong size. They picked up the wrong ones, provided new the next day, and charged me again for them...took 3 phone calls to sort out. On one system they were supposed to install and then send warranty information to the manufacturer. They never did--left it buried in an installation manual in a drawer; didn't send, didn't tell me to send. Only found out because the cooling system didn't work...to which their initial reply was to see my contractor...and their second reply was they'd worry about it later. I have extensive experience with this organization and worry that all these positive reviews are not coming from real customers.

There were several emails sent with a stationary that made it impossible to read. They had communicated with me in the same fashion in the past and I had asked the office to change the colors of their stationary in order to make it more readable...  However, my requests were not honored; they continued to use the same stationary in subsequent emails showing a complete lack of business etiquette.

We finally scheduled the maintenance after getting a call from them...  The maintenance was performed in early March.  At the end of the maintenance the technician presented me with a bill for $175.00.  I contacted one of the owners via email as I had a contract indicating a cost of $150.00.  Brian proceeded to tell me about the fine print in to the contract I signed indicating that they had the right to make changes to the price without notification to the customer…  I objected to the change without notification regardless of what the contract states...  In my opinion, the practice of non-disclosure for changes to the terms for services to be rendered promotes ill-will and questions the integrity of the service provider. 

The issue was NEVER the money!  They failed to understand and communicate with professionalism.

I have since received multiple communications from the company, which in my opinion has been condescending, insisting in exercising the practice of making changes to the terms of services without notification.  The matter has now been resolved – I have cancelled the contract with Gelinas and plan on doing no additional business with them!

Gelinas was the only burner cleaner out of the 7 contractors I contacted on Angie's to respond. He got back to me that day.

When I told them I had no heat they were able to bump me up in their schedule. The price was competitive, the technician called ahead of time and we met at my house. The work was done quickly, I no longer have fumes in the house, and he was friendly with the dogs.

I recommend this company.

Brian helped us understand the options we had.  The original quote provided 2 options; we settled for the updated model of the same brand boiler.  The installation went flawlessly and completed earlier than initially anticipated.  The staff was professional and kept us informed of their progress.  The cost to replace the boiler was comparable with other estimates we received.  The initial installation was not consistent with the language of the contract in that the fuel line was patched into the old line.  I recently noticed that an oil leak had developed.  Although it had been almost one year since the installation, I contacted Brian and he didn't hesitate to ask his installer to replace the line as originally agreed upon. 

I believe using Gelinas was an excellent choice and I would highly recommend them.

I worked with the Owner Bill Gelinis.  Gelinis provided us with a complete one stop shopping experience where the customer service was simply awesome!  Once they arrived on site to start working, every detail was properly handled and well executed.  The quality of the workmanship was everything we expected.
Pricing for the job was very competitive and comprehensive and we got a job that we are all proud of.  Our end client was super impressed with our choice to use Gelinis.
I will always recommend them and will always use them when heating and air conditioning are desired by our clients.

Brian and his crew were knowledgeable, responsive and very easy to work with. We received 3- Quotes for our conversion work. One HVAC companies price was almost double that of Gelinas, the other company never got back to us with a quote and never responded to our contact following the sales appointment. Gelinas was very thorough during the sales appointment and explained in detail what they were proposing as well as their ideas and suggestions. They sent us a detailed and well laid out proposal in a very timely fashion. After we contracted Gelinas to do the work we had to wait several months for the gas company to run the new natural gas lines, during that time Gelinas kept good contact of the status of the natural gas installation. Also, during that waiting period one of our existing propane furnaces broke down, we contacted Gelinas for emergency repair service- they were prompt and very fair with their pricing during the repair.
After Summit Natural Gas finally completed the Natural Gas Installation, we contact Gelinas that we were ready for the conversion work to begin. Their installation crew was very polite. They kept their work area clean and organized. The installation work was very neat and professional looking once it was completed. They had a problem with one of the new natural gas heaters that was installed, it ended up be a manufacturer's defect. Gelinas worked diligently with the manufacturer to troubleshoot and remedy the issue. Everything is working great now and we could not be any happier with the service that was provided to us by Gelinas.

Everything went very well except for communication between the gas company and Gelinas. I had to coordinate the installation and it was not communicated that I was responsible for that communication.

They came in, looked at the code from the board which pointed to the flame sensor.  Rather than replacing it, they cleaned the flame
sensor which apparently get corroded after a bunch of use.  Works great from then on.
