You can choose your colors: top and bottom. You do the measuring - they have instructions on how to do that - and it is very simple. Their order department was very accommodating when I called. "     In order to complete to layout design I submitted a drawing of the room as well as a series of photos.  The website for Homemade design has a questionaire what helps define your overall tastes in design.  I joined Pinterest and started boards for furniture, lighting, bookshelves which were reviewed.  Homemade design comes to New York periodically to meet with clients not in the Boston area and this gave us a chance to meet and select furniture and upholstery at the New York Design center.  This is an extra charge but well worth it since I was completely overwhelmed.  They were extremely patient and guided me through the process.  At one point I decided to move the television which turned out to be a bad idea -- they explained why it would not worked and I concurred competely after I understood the reasons.  So, they are not afraid to tell you if you going down the wrong road. I live in a New York City townhouse and forget that I do not have a whol lot of space even though my house is huge for NYC. So, I had to be told how to "scale" everything to the space we had to work with, which was helpful
I purchased the service several months ago but was not ready to actually decide on the actual purchases until recently. So, the delay in completion is because of my schedule.  I now hope to finish everything by September.

"It went very well, he is a licensed electrician and he changed all of my old s12 sockets to energy efficient sockets so that I could use my electronic devices and not blow circuits.  I was being charged each time I called in a help ticket.  So I called Mason Electrical Services and had him come out and take a look . He came out and took a look at the problem and gave me an estimate .and I was really satisfied on the price.  He arrived promptly on 8 March 2014 had everything he needed to work with, and completed the work it only took a couple of hours and the job was done.  In that time he installed a ceiling fan in my bedroom with a remote.  He didn't make a mess.  I would definitely recommend him to others needing electrical services in the future.

"I sent the money and dimensions in in November 2011.  She responded back very quickly, informed me that she was very busy and wouldn't be able to start on my project for a couple of weeks.  I actually responded that that was fine.  After a month or so with no contact, i emailed.  She emailed  right back, apologized and asked for some more measurements.  I sent them.  Didn't hear anything, when in response to inquiry, she asked again for living room measurements-- that was Feb. 3rd.  On Feb. 20th, I emailed and asked for timeline.  She responded back the next day with 3 designs asking for my preference.  I emailed back on the 22nd of Feb with my preference.  On March 16th, I inquired again as to timeline for completion.Two weeks later she sent a concept board with some furnishings.  No window coverings or lights were suggested.  Three were multiple rugs with no direction of which one for each room.  All and all, not a pleasant experience.  I suspect I could have gotten better service using Pottery Barn's free design service (especially since most of the furnishings came from there.)"
