"We had almost 400 sq ft of tile removed and new hardwood floors put in the place. BR flooring had to tooth in the new hardwoods to the existing hardwoods in the adjoining area. After the install, the entire first floor had to be refinished, including the staircase and handrails, and a 2nd floor loft. the crew did the most amazing job. The floors turned out absolutely beautiful and Marcos and his crew left the house so clean. Barely any dust anywhere! If you're reading this and intend to refinish or install new wood floors, look no further. BR Flooring is the best!"

"This guy was great. He repaired an area of our floor that was repaired (poorly) twice before. I highly recommend him for LVP flooring jobs."

"Prospect Flooring very professionally listened to our flooring needs, promptly provided a quote for two options, and quickly scheduled our project to meet our time schedule. Their work crew was very courteous and knowledgeable. They installed and finished new hardwood flooring in our kitchen to seamlessly match the flooring in the adjacent dining room and kitchen. They completed the work sooner than we anticipated and we were very pleased with the final product. I recommend them for flooring work."

"Elegant Floors is an excellent company to deal with in all areas! Our floors look absolutely beautiful, the cost was very fair and affordable. Everyone we dealt with was fantastic. They were punctual, efficient, very professional and were very accepting of our needs. I had to reschedule the dates that work was to begin and it was not a problem at all. They were happy to provide us with the dates we wanted. The floors and house were spotless when they left! We can't say enough about how happy we are with this company. If we could give them higher than an "A" rating, we would, that is how pleased we are with their work and fair prices."

"Excellent work! I had a very small marble bathroom floor (30 sq. ft.) that had been installed by an inexperienced contractor. I needed someone to come in and make the floor level as well as remove paint and other debris left behind. They not only did an excellent job bring out a brilliant shine in the floor , but made it so smooth Iâ m afraid I might slip and fall. (LOL). Seriously they did a good job protecting doors as well as other surfaces and left my home clean. I would recommend using them and I would definitely consider using them for other projects in the future."

"The carpets are very clean, he is very quick, but the carpets are very damp/wet and needed air blowers on them for several hours to dry them. I don't know if this is the best method or not but wasn't expecting that. Wood floors were left with some film on them, he said he would cleaned them then next day when he picked up his air blowers. He did a very good job removing some stains that previous cleaners had not been able to do."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

As with anything you buy, be wary of prices that seem too good to be true. Some low-cost flooring products can contain chemicals that release harmful VOCs (volatile organic compounds) in the form of fumes that can be inhaled or dust that can cause skin conditions.

Even good-quality products can be dangerous for DIY-ers who don’t take proper precautions. Always carefully read manufacturer instructions and wear the recommended protective gear when working with paints and other chemicals. You can also hire a local garage flooring pro with the experience and equipment needed to perform the installation safely with no lingering fumes or debris.

The most affordable kitchen flooring option is sheet vinyl due to its low material and installation costs, followed by laminate flooring and vinyl planks. Be sure to get quotes from flooring companies in your area for exact estimates for your kitchen floor. If you let them know that you’re looking for kitchen floor ideas on a budget, they can suggest products and materials within your price range.

Yes, you can put rugs and carpet on heated floors. However, carpet is not the most efficient for heated floors. The carpet pad and pile can prevent the heat from penetrating into the room. Rugs may also prevent heat from reaching your feet. You will get the most from your heated floors if you use thin rugs so that a maximum amount of heat can penetrate the room. You may find you do not need rugs to warm a space, thanks to the radiant heat coming up through your feet.

When you install laminate flooring, you have to install spacers (also called expansion gaps) along the edges. This space along the edges gives the flooring the room it needs to naturally expand and contract. When you don't have an expansion gap, you can end up with damaged or warped planks. This can lead to uneven flooring, which is unsightly and can cause a trip hazard.

Installing carpet over carpet may affect the warranty of the new carpet. Check with the manufacturer or retailer regarding their warranty policies. Many warranties stipulate specific installation guidelines, and installing carpet over carpet may not comply with these requirements. Voiding the warranty due to improper installation methods can leave you without help in case of issues or defects with the new carpet.
