"Mr. Ferrell first connected his computer to my computer via internet and worked for quite a few hours trying to determine what exactly was wrong. The next day he continued working from his computer for several hours. He determined he would have to have my desktop tower to complete the repair. He and my son met in Huntsville to exchange the tower. He then cleaned up a lot of what was wrong and reloaded Windows 10. He deleted the D: drive which had way too much memory allotted to it. The tower was returned and I plugged it all back together and it is working better than it did when I first purchased it. I would use him again and I recommend him highly to anyone needing computer updating and/or repair. His work is warrantied and he is very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful."

"I specifically booked this company because they told me they had one guy that could diagnose problems with both a refrigerator and a gas cooktop.
This was not the case and neither guy either could or would actually fix the problems that same day. AND, they came at completely different times during the day. The guy assessing the cooktop issue seemed a bit more knowledgable and courteous and told me that my Dacor cooktop set-up for propane even though it has gas hooked up to it. He quoted something like $300 to switch it, but mentioned that I might just want to get a whole new cooktop. I was surprised it would cost so much, but understood this and thanked him for the evaluation.
The guy (second guy) assessing the refrigerator told me that it would cost me a couple hundred bucks to repair my fridge (food in freezer was not staying frozen) that day or else I could take everything out of it and unplug it with the doors open for a couple of days. When I told him that I really needed it repaired that day and would pay, he basically said and quot;tough.and quot; It would take him too long, so I have no choice, but to do it myself — over two days. Then, he and quot;generouslyand quot; told me that he would not charge me a second service charge for the visit. He must have had something more important to do that day, than to fix my appliances. In the end, although I put all of the food on ice in every ice chest I had (as instructed), but a great deal of it went bad and had to be thrown out.
Very, very disappointing experience and I am sure that it all depends on the luck of the draw of the subcontractor they assign you, but I will never use BGE Home again and take that risk.

"I'm sorry I don't remember who came out, but they did a fantastic job. They did 14 windows inside and out, plus pulled the screens and scrubbed them. They put everything back, were very careful with their ladders, took off their shoes while inside, and even got rid of the dead ladybugs on the foyer window ledge for me. (why do builders put ledges under windows that high up?) They double checked to make sure everything was right before they left. I would definitely recommend them. They did a wonderful job and now I can actually see out my windows again. Thank you Keenwick.

"I purchased a deal that provided two painters for 8 hours.  They were prompt and very fast.  I did all the prep work, although the deal did specify they would do that, I did it so they could focus on the painting, I covered and moved furniture, covered floors, cabinets in kitchen etc.  The package included the painters providing tape and less expensive supplies while I was responsible for the paint, primer etc. They were also to make small repairs to drywall.
I had to go behind them and point out paint dripping down the walls and ask them to fix, I had to ask them to repair some obvious holes, which I thought as professionals they could figure that part out on their own, I left them to do the work and realized they didn't fill or patch any holes that I didn't show them, even if the holes were very obvious.  They finished in 6 hours and could not wait to run out the door.  After reviewing the work I found where they needed to put a second coat on the baseboards but failed to do so, spots missed around doorknobs where it was obvious the tape had been and once removed very obvious spots were missed.  Other areas were not touched at all and there is no explanation for that.  Their was a communication problem, I tried to ask a couple of questions and they did not understand me so I gave up.  They did not leave a clean line between the walls and ceiling, good thing the colors are similar and it's not as noticable to those not looking for it.
Overall, you get what you pay for.  I'm very disappointed especially since they still had time left in our contract to review and fix most of the very obvious flaws.  I was also told when I made the appointment to have more jobs for them if they do finish earlier because I've paid for the 8 hours and it's not transferable or refundable.  What I found was the more I asked them to do, over and above the initial list of items, they did very fast and very sloppy,  they were not open or welcoming the extra jobs.  I think once they completed the original list they checked out.

Screen Repair questions, answered by experts

You can trim an overhead garage door screen to fit your garage door opening. This is a particularly helpful hack if you have an irregularly sized garage door opening but are still interested in installing a garage door screen to keep pests and debris out. Trim the garage door screen carefully to avoid unsightly edges or an uneven fit.

Typically every 10-15 years or whenever they show signs of wear and tear.

Among the various entry points into your residence, it's crucial to recognize that your basement windows are arguably the most susceptible. Basements usually have windows facing the side and back yards, often concealed from driveway floodlights, porch lighting, and doorbell cameras. Their vulnerability underscores the importance of reinforcing basement window security to safeguard your home from break-ins.

If you’re not an experienced DIYer, consider hiring a local patio repair contractor to rescreen your porch or sunroom. Unless you’re only repairing a small rip or hole, this project is not an easy job. A professional can also make recommendations for materials that will work best for your porch.

If you’d rather repair your screen door mesh than replace it, you can patch it. Purchase a mesh patch for screen doors with small holes or tears, especially if the mesh is pretty new. Hardware stores and websites sell mesh patches that are easy to apply with an adhesive or a warm hair dryer. Keep in mind that repairs won’t look as aesthetically pleasing in most cases as a full replacement.
