"BEST MONEY I EVER SPENT !!!!! I purchased a 2 hr handyman coupon to fix an exterior door that wasn't closing properly. This door needed to be fixed. A hinge had come undone I had heard that “winter was coming”. The repairman arrived on time and he suggested an alternative fix to re-notching the hinges and tearing out the framing of the door. My door was closing perfectly in half an hour! This quick fix gave me time to address some repairs I had thought out of reach of this coupon. In short, within my 2 hours, my handyman had patched a crack in my concrete steps and in the driveway (using a mix I had on hand as well as some materials he had in his truck), moved my air conditioner to the basement, and performed many tasks that single women call “please move this and put it there”. "They came to my house at 1:35 this afternoon. I called them this morning around 6:30-6:45 and they said they would be here around noon. I walked them through the house and told them everywhere there was tape that I needed them painted and provided the paint. I showed them outside the things I needed to have done. They asked me what needed to be done first and I told them outside. They went ahead and took off the garage trim and the bay window trim and repaired and repainted them. They only painted around the area that they repaired and didn't paint the whole area. He told me that he didn't have an extension to get the rest of it. I told him about this when I spoke with him this morning. They didn't bring an extension for the paint roller. They were aware that these were the things I needed done when I called them this morning and they came unprepared. They came with two people and they haven't done nearly as much as I needed done. Since there were two of them, they only stayed for two hours since the big deal I purchased was for four labor hours. After an hour and a half of work they are still working outside and haven't done anything inside the house that I needed done. I provided drop cloths to keep everything clean, inside and out. I had to ask them to clean up the driveway because they got paint on it. I shouldn't have to ask for them to clean up after themselves. I didn't get the work done that I thought I was going to and I am left with half of my project incomplete."

"I was satisfied with the service. The gentleman did a good job, and he was very courteous and professional.  I had to pay an additional close to double the big deal amount, for the time that the work went over. He didn't call the day ahead of time, to get the details of what I needed. I had purchased flood lights and an electrical receptacle, and that is when I bought the deal. I had explained everything to the secretary, and she said that he would call me the day before he came out, and that would have been the next day, and he just came, and he didn't have anything that was needed. He had to go to Home Depot, which took about 40 minutes extra, which was electrical work that I was paying for. That was the rate per hour. He didn't have the things that he needed to install these lights and the devices that you need by code. I had to write a check for at least 170 - 180 Dollars. If they had called ahead of time, they could have bought it, or I could have bought it. I was disappointed with that, because a lot of people think that, the specials that Angie's List have are just for you to get people come into the door, and then there is add ons. This is not the first time that it has happened. My husband is deceased, and I have multiple sclerosis, and every dollar counts, so I did not expect to pay so much extra, a week before the holidays. He was cordial, and he was nice and I am satisfied with the work. I just wasn't expecting to pay additional money. If you are told that they are supplying the labor, and if there are materials involved, and they would have told me what to get, I would have gotten each item. But they just came and didn't call ahead of time. You may think you are getting 2 hours of electrical work, but you are spending 2 hours exchanging information about what you need and not need, and then him driving 40 minutes to go and get the stuff.  You should not be paying for them to be running around, or getting supplies for someone else, or stopping for a sub, but I liked the gentleman. I blame the company, because they are setting this up with you, and they should make sure for the person to call you and find out what you have, and to inform you about picking up the stuff. They should be able to give you a choice.  There have been people who have been breaking into cars on our driveway, and so the big deal prompted me to get the job done. I would use them again."
