We hired Bergman Contracting to build a sunroom overtop a new garage and covered deck. Bergman hired Cole Concrete to pour the concrete floor inside the garage and an adjacent patio. A few days after the concrete was poured it rained. Large pools of water were observed against our home's foundation. Builder said "Once there's a roof over it, you won't get any water in here." We had other issues with Bergman and he never got a final building inspection. We finally contacted the county for advice on a different issue. 10-4-2023 we were informed the concrete floor failed inspection because it does not flow away from our home. Cole insists Bergman told him to pour it level. With 40 years' experience Cole should know any garage floor must have fall to facilitate the flow of fuel if there were a leak. Also, IT'S NOT LEVEL. It slopes back to our home and has a horrible finish. Patio expansion joints have disintegrated in 3 years; cheap materials.

Bob Cole and his team are true professionals. From our first inquiry to the final cleanup, every aspect of our patio/walkway project was outstanding. The owner was involved in every phase of the project and provided prompt, clear communication along the way to ensure our satisfaction. We only had a vague idea of what we wanted and really appreciate how Bob took the time to educate us and offer suggestions to bring our dream to fruition. When work began, his crew arrived each day right on time, with the right equipment and highly skilled workers. There’s simply no substitute for a crew that has more than 30 years in the business. Bob’s team was courteous, friendly and very respectful of our home. Their attention to detail and the particular standard of quality each crew-member demonstrated surpassed all expectations. Even our neighbors remarked how impressed they were. It went great. Bob Cole (Owner) was the only person who wanted to meet in person to go over the issue I had with my sidewalk. The other people I contacted just said they'd drive by and give me an estimate. He was really direct and knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable with the work that he would perform. He came by my house maybe 2 weeks ago and then added me to the schedule and started work 2 weeks later after we agreed to terms. They finished my sidewalk around 3 pm that day and it looks great! No qualms at all. Also, it started to rain out of the blue about an hour or two after the job was done and as soon as I was about to call to ask if I should put a tarp down, I looked out my window and saw Bob outside putting it down himself. Definitely shows he's on top of things. Would definitely recommend to anyone else looking to get concrete work done in the Baltimore area. A+.

We contacted Bob Cole to seal our stamped concrete sidewalk and porch, which we had installed by another vendor appx. 18 months ago. Mr. Cole was very responsive via both cell and text message and came out within 48 hours to provide an estimate. We had checked with a couple other vendors and Cole Concrete was the most affordable while still offering the high quality sealant we wanted. Because of recent rainy weather, we had to wait a couple of weeks while he caught up on his other jobs, but that is not his fault and he came by personally at the end of the day on Oct 15 and spent about 60-90 minutes spraying three coats of high gloss sealant. He did a fantastic job - the sidewalk and porch look 10x better than they did, and I'm satisfied that it will protect our investment as well. I would recommend Cole Concrete without reservation. He also poured and sealed my sister's stamped concrete patio and that job was impeccable as well.

Bob came out the same day I requested a quote and gave me what I thought was a very reasonable estimate for my request and was very prompt with sending out the contract once I agreed on the quote. He estimated most of the work would be done in one day gave me a timeline of about 4 weeks between the contract signing and initial payment before starting work. However, between the constant rain we had this Spring and a work trip I needed to take in late April, work didn't begin until early May. Bob notified me the day before that he and his crew were finally coming; it was a bit short notice but understandable because of the difficult weather we'd been having (and it being hard to know whether it would really rain or not on any given day). The crew arrived about when expected and worked fairly late into the day to get the front step poured and to get the original back stoop removed and the new patio poured and stamped (a process which fascinated both myself and my neighbors who had never seen that done). The only hitch that occurred was the failure to pour the front step with the original railing left in place; however, Bob assured us that could be corrected (and would probably be better) with drilling a new hole for the railing footer and sealing it with quikcrete once the step fully cured. I was also a bit concerned about the color of the patio, but was assured that would come out once the patio was sealed, which the team would come back and do in about three days once the patio had time to cure. The crew did come back the next morning to clean up a few areas and to temporarily reset the part of the chain link fence they had to move in order to access the back patio area. Rain again delayed that final step, but Bob was able to fit that in on the late afternoon of May 19 so we were finally able to start using our new patio.
I will have to admit that I'm still not 100% pleased with how the color (mostly the contrasting highlighting) turned out on the patio; it's a bit more blotchy and darker than I expected. However, the stamping itself looks very nice & professional and I love the wider step out of the back door on to the patio. I'm also pleased with how the front step turned out and the railing was re-installed exactly as Bob described it. The team also did a good job re-securing the section of chain link fence they had to roll back to access the back yard patio area. Overall the crew were very polite & friendly and worked very hard to get things done in a timely fashion. I'm really enjoying my new patio--Thanks!

Bob came out and gave me an estimate and sent the contract over a few days later. We agreed to the terms and he began work within 3 weeks. His crew excavated the area with a bobcat and moved the soil in the woods behind our house.
Two days later he poured the concreted and sealed it within a few days.
Cole Concrete did a great job!! We absolutely love the new patio and have gotten compliments on the new patio from our neighbors. We are very happy that we found Cole Concrete and we couldn't have been more pleased with the work he did.

I was very impressed with Cole Concrete. Bob was always easy to contact and provided valuable advice and feedback regarding our plans. Bob was not the cheapest quote that we received for the work, but when we decided to go with Cole Concrete it was because we felt that Bob would really take ownership of the work, be responsive to our questions/concerns, provide the suitable amount of expertise and do a really good job. We weren't disappointed and we were very happy. Both he and the members of his crew seemed genuinely concerned that the job be done right and took pride in the quality of the work. Since then we have had many compliments on the standard of the finished work from our friends and neighbors.
I would use Cole Concrete for other projects and I would recommend them to friends.

Work not done per specs. Finish on front porch looks terrible. Nick was supposed to return to fix and never did. Sidewalk on side of house was supposed to be poured over buried drainpipe (like the one out back) and wasn't, so now plastic drainpipe snakes over walk out front. Also, walk to be poured so that gate closed over it. Had to have someone come rehang gate because that not done correctly either. Under no circumstances would I hire again or recommend to another.

"Dear Member, I'm taken by surprise and very concerned to read your review. I have never met you nor have I had any contact or correspondence with you what so ever. I remember your project well and after reading the review I pulled your contract and went back to your home to see if there were any discrepancies between it, my memory of the project and what we installed at your home. Since all of the meetings and discussions concerning the project were with your wife and myself, I can only comment on the matters with which we agreed to and included in our scope of work in the contract. The contract is very specific in describing exactly what we installed at your home. The exact number of drain pipes is spelled out and are the ones we were told to install. If you review the contract you will see that we did everything we said we would do. As far as the finish on the porch is concerned your wife asked us to do what we could with it as it had deteriorated so much and she did not have the money to replace it completely and the house was to be a rental as soon as you relocated. The porch looks so much better than it did that I can't understand your dissatisfaction with it. I believe I charged about $200 for that repair which encompassed refinishing the entire porch, including the top, both sides and all 5 steps. Between the material cost and labor time it cost me about $300 to do the repair. If there was an issue with the gate I could have easily come back to adjust it had someone told me. Like the porch, the fence and gate were very old and we can only do so much with materials that are in this condition. I apologize for any inconvenience this matter may have caused but I am confident we delivered a good product. I would not hesitate to have a prospective client look at your project. I have a signed and detailed contract. I was to receive a 3'x6' 4" thick concrete pad, a 10'x18' 5" thick concrete parking pad and 4'x18' 4"thick sidewalk. What I have instead of the 4" thick sidewalk and the 5" thick parking pad is a very large 4" thick patio? I had asked for the return of my final payment of $300.00 as compensation. What I got instead were disputes and excuses as to why no restitution should be made for this error. After several weeks of back and forth Bob Cole finally showed up, unannounced, at my doorstep. This was the point were he pressured me into signing a hand written paper releasing Cole Concrete of all liability and was given a $200.00 check.
I did not want to go to court. If Bob Cole would have acknowledged his mistake and immediately returned my final payment of $300.00 we would have parted on good terms. Unfortunately, that was not the case, instead I have to say my experience with Cole Concrete was a home owner's nightmare.

Although we had totally different view points of the situation I was more than willing to compromise on a resolution. Your insistence that you receive some sort of refund was not something, in 28 years of business I had ever been faced with. THE PATIO WAS INSTALLED. DUE TO A POOR SEALER, THE PATION HAD TO BE TORN OUT AND REPLACED. IT WAS DIFFICULT TO GET THIS FIXED, BECAUSE THIS WAS NOT REALLY THE COMPANIES FAULT. IT WAS A MANUFACTURE DEFECT IN THE SEALER.

THIS COMPANY WAS ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! THE COMPANY OWNER WAS THE PERSON WHO ACTUALLY CAME OUT AND MET WITH US TO DISCUSS WHAT IT WAS WE WERE LOOKING FOR. HE PROVIDED PICTURES OF PREVIOUS JOBS AND LETTERS FROM CUSTOMERS AS WELL. THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME, WERE VERY POLITE AND THE OWNER SHOWED UP TO MAKE SURE THE JOB WAS GOING WELL.
