"This is a family-owned business and they deliver exceptional service. I needed carpets cleaned before the movers delivered my furniture. Even though it was very short notice George, the owner, made room for me the next day after I called him. George's son, Pete, did the cleaning and he did a fine job. Great people to deal with and they take customer satisfaction seriously. Highly recommended and the price was very reasonable."

Small jobs welcome

"My upholstery cleaning job was addressed right away. They cleaned my sofa and 4 upholstered chairs. After it dried, I realized one chair needed a repeat. I called and arranged for a return visit. They came and did a fine job."

"The cleaning went well. The workers were professional and were careful to remove all silt, water and residue from the property.
Challenges with scheduling
It took about three months of telephone tag to schedule an estimate/cleaning appointment.  I would leave a message asking for a estimate / cleaning appointment and would leave three or four possible dates.  I would receive a message asking me to call to schedule an appointment. And, the cycle continued.
Also, when I scheduled, I asked for a rough estimate over the phone and gave the square footage of our unfinished basement.  I was told most basements that size cost between $500 - $1,000.   The actual cost was $1750.      I think the people in the office could do a better job scheduling and with providing cost expectations, but we were happy with the employees who came out and did the work and with the task completed.
"
"We are very pleased with the job Dave did for us today. He was prompt and very courteous and did a professional job cleaning our carpets. Thank you for keeping the planned schedule as promised. We will recommend your company to our family and friends.

Stan"

House Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Yes, it’s best to wash all linens, pet items, curtains, rugs, clothing, and cushion covers to remove any excess residue that could cause harm. The pesticides from flea bombs can often linger on surfaces or fabrics, which is why washing all items is best for the health of you and your loved ones.

You should consider doing a few things on your own that fall under the category of “good house cleaner etiquette” to prepare for your house cleaner. These include tidying counters, floors, and other surfaces, taking care of the dishes, moving laundry to the laundry room or a dedicated laundry basket, and putting away personal and private items. Think of your house cleaner as someone who brings your home from relatively tidy to organized and clean, and you should have no issues.

No, you should never use isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) to clean flat paint or paint with any other finish. Isopropyl alcohol works similarly to a paint thinner, so it’s likely to liquify the paint on your walls and leave damaged or bare areas. For stubborn stains, try mixing one cup of vinegar or baking soda into a bucket of warm water and scrubbing very gently with a soft sponge. If the stain or soiling is pervasive, touch up the area by repainting the affected areas.

Coca-Cola isn’t a very effective method for cleaning toilet bowl stains on its own. The idea is that since it contains carbonic, citric, and phosphoric acids, it can wipe out your hard water stains after sitting for a few hours. While it can work on lighter stains if you heat it, let it sit overnight, and scrub your toilet, it’s unlikely to make a noticeable difference on stubborn stains.

Before hiring a cleaning service for your home, it's wise to ask several questions. Find out what services they offer, whether they work alone or with a company, and if they can provide references. It's also important to ask if they conduct background checks on employees. Inquire about their scheduling, availability, and when they can provide an estimate. Confirm if they have insurance, offer a guarantee, and bring their own cleaning supplies and equipment. You should also clarify if you need to be home during the cleaning, what arrangements are necessary for pets, and if there is a written contract. Finally, ask how they set their rates and if they are available for emergencies and what those charges would be.
