Currently I am a commercial electrician or a as a mechanic in the trade. Unfortunately I am not a master electrician for any major projects that might need a permit pulled I can’t do that do to state laws. Just being honest. But my rates are fair I don’t don’t charge the customer for material, I usually give a list for the customer to purchase and only charge labor.

"We first contacted this company, using Angie's List, and established communication
via the Angie's messaging center.
The initial contact seemed to go well -- I clearly laid out what our needs were, in this case we
were seeking repair of a strip of five Malibu lights along our driveway which though connected
to the main line of lights which worked, are not turning on in the evening.
The response from the company was friendly, saying they could help us with this.  An appointment
was set, and on our request, they clarified they do not charge for first assessments.   But
on the day of the appointment, we waited...and waited. . . and waited . . . one hour past 6 PM.
We chose to leave the company an email noting that they had failed to show up.  The next day, I phoned
their number.  The person on the phone offered no immediate apology for their failure to show up
the previous day.  Only at the end of the conversation did she express any regret.
With some hesitation, we re-scheduled a visit. On the day of that visit, I received a call from what I
can only assume was their field rep.  He was somewhat abrupt, saying he wanted to clarify that
they don't work on Malibu lighting.  Remember -- in the initial Angie's List messaging, their office
rep had said they could help us with our problem.
In the phone call, the field rep said the company only discusses lights that they can provide (this clearly
messaged that they decline to get involved in minor jobs, reflecting comments by others left in reviews
on Angie's List).
We decided to maintain the appointment . . .the company rep arrived.  It was clear from the start they he
had no intention of providing any estimate that would be in what we consider a reasonable range.   As another reviewer noted on Angie's:  "It was clear from the start that the company is really only interested,  though, in dramatic upscale lighting. . . ."
The discussion ended with the field rep, who provided a ballpark verbal estimate of between $2,000 and $2,500, and said
if that is not in our budget range it wasn't even worth his time writing up an estimate.   And . . . that was that.
But I feel compelled to provide this description, because others have obviously experienced the same.  For the reason
alone of the contradictory information provided, which initially gives the impression to potential customers that this
company does care about jobs costing less than $2,000, I am providing this information.  Add to that the failure to show
up on the first appointment, and we would not recommend this company -- unless of course, you are fully able to spend at least $2,000 on lighting.
I recommend to this company, and all others who think they can engage in this kind of activity, that they realize that
people are really not that stupid.

Holiday Decorating questions, answered by experts

You can attach Christmas lights to your palm tree by securely wrapping the strings around the tree. If you notice the strands slipping, you can also use a staple gun to secure them to the trunk.

One of the easiest ways to save money when hiring a holiday decorator is to provide storage for your decorations. If you have the space, you can save hundreds or even thousands of dollars by avoiding storage costs through your professional. It’s also a good idea to provide as much direction as possible for your professional, as this can cut down on design services. Finally, you can pay for your decorator to take down your decorations at the end of the season, but packaging and storing them yourself will save money on labor.

If you take home a pre-lit Christmas tree but want to spruce it up with blinking lights, don’t worry, there’s a simple solution. You can easily replace the light bulbs on the pre-lit tree with flashing bulbs. For a more subtle look, only replace some of the bulbs with flashing bulbs.

Consider hiring your professional to decorate other areas of your house in addition to the Christmas tree. They can match the rest of your home decor to the tree's design and even extend the style to your outdoor holiday decor .

Take a picture of your house to easily replicate the same design for next year and keep the clips and accessories. When storing your lights, wrap them around cardboard so they don’t get tangled. Purchase a ladderless extension pole kit to hang your lights (around $30 to $50) for hard to reach areas.
