Small jobs welcome

"The tile looked great! They were easy to work with & completed the work in a timely manner. I had to spend some time after they left cleaning up & scrubbing something off the vanity, toilet, & bathtub. I m not sure if it was from the grout or caulk. They were the only company I contacted that did everything they said they would do. I would definitely hire them again."

"The service provided was excellent. The service provider called to let me know that they were running a little behind schedule.  He provided a new arrival time and arrived shortly before that time.  Fernando and the gentleman working with him were very professional and completed the service requested in a timely manner.  My kitchen tile still looks new.  I will definitely contact Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning in the future is the need arises.

"I had used them previously for carpet cleaning & was very happy with their service. They didn't disappoint this time either. Tony called to let me know his estimated time of arrival and arrived as promised, got right to work. He finished in a  timely manner. I will be using them again.

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Yes, tiling a bathroom is a great way to boost your home's value, especially if you are replacing old or dated flooring. Adding a new tile floor can deliver a return on investment (ROI) of around 56.4%, with some projects offering up to 100% ROI. Buyers appreciate new tile because it provides a modern look and is known for being durable, water-resistant, low-maintenance, and easy to clean. For the best results and highest return, consider hiring a professional, as tiling mistakes can be very noticeable and detract from the value.

You can, in theory, tile your fireplace hearth with most tiles. However just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. For example, it’s much better to use unglazed tiles because glazed tiles are more resistant to cracking under extreme heat. Porcelain is more heat-resistant than ceramic, but you can still design the hearth as you like by putting the most heat-resistant tiles directly under the fire and, if it matches your style, add more decorative tiles further from the center of the fire.

Tile countertops can be an excellent and budget-friendly option for a kitchen, provided they are installed correctly. It's important to choose tiles, such as ceramic, that are heat-, water-, and scratch-resistant. When the grout is properly sealed, it will resist stains, making the surface easy to clean. Tile is also considered a sustainable material. For a cohesive kitchen design and added protection, you can pair a tile countertop with a matching tile backsplash.

Tile installation can be expensive because it requires more time and labor to install than many other materials. For example, laminate flooring can click and lock into place, and carpet comes in large rolls that you can secure to the floor. On the other hand, tiles need to be cut, laid individually, grouted, and left to cure.

No, you don’t need to remove the old grout before installing new tile over existing tile. In fact, the old grout helps fill in gaps between tiles, creating a more even surface for the new layer. However, it's important to ensure that the grout is clean, solid, and free of cracks or crumbling areas. Damaged grout should be repaired or replaced before proceeding. Cleaning the surface thoroughly and filling any low spots will help the new adhesive bond properly and ensure a smooth, stable installation.
