Customers say: True professional

"The response to my request was quick and the technician was scheduled and onsite within 24 hours. The masonry work to vent the dryer outside was completed well, however connectivity of the venting system between the dryer and outside wall was SHODDY at best. The tech secured the venting with a single zip tie to a hot water line, leaving the venting swinging in the air with 2 U's in the flexible venting and blocking walking space. We had to rework the connection to correct to a straight duct feed to the outside wall along the rafter and attached the venting using zip ties around 2 existing duct fasteners. It no longer bobbles on a hot water line. The technician failed to clean up the dust mess made by the work also."

"LeafFilter doesn't clean gutters, they sell and install their LeafFilter Gutter products and only clean the gutters if you buy their product. I can't even begin to afford their product so I wasn't able to get my gutter cleaned by them."

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

The best thing to clean bathrooms with is an all-purpose cleaner, a mixture of white vinegar and water (50:50 ratio), and a glass cleaner for mirrors and glass surfaces. You can also use baking soda on areas with soap residue or mildew. The best tool to clean a bathroom depends on the specific task, but a sponge and a fresh towel are versatile options.

Cleaning your refrigerator right before grocery day will minimize the amount of food you need to remove before cleaning and ensure you have a fresh fridge to put your new groceries in. Of course, if you notice any spills or unpleasant odors at any point, it’s a good indication that it’s time to clean the refrigerator. If your busy schedule makes it difficult to clean your fridge at any time, hire a local house cleaner to take care of these tasks for you.

Most experts agree that the best thing with which to clean epoxy floors is a diluted mixture of ammonia and warm water. You can also use mild dish soap diluted with warm water or a degreaser (such as Simple Green or Goof Off) diluted with warm water. Some soap-based cleaners can leave a haze. If you notice this, further dilute the mixture with water or use a different detergent that does not leave a film. You should never use harsh cleaning chemicals, any type of acidic compound (such as vinegar or citrus-based cleansers), or harsh scrubbers like steel wool or hard bristle brushes.

Yes, cleaning a crawl space is worth the cost. Although it's an out-of-sight area, neglecting it can lead to significant problems like pest infestations (including termites and carpenter ants), mold, and fungal growth, which can cause structural damage. Regular cleaning helps prevent these issues. While hiring a contractor has ongoing costs, the price for cleaning—typically between $0.50 and $4 per square foot—is much lower than the cost to remediate a pest or mold problem. Additionally, a clean crawl space can lead to improved indoor air quality and more comfortable temperatures in your home.

If you’re unsatisfied with the cleaning, address your concerns directly and promptly with your housekeeper or the company. Many professionals offer satisfaction guarantees or will return to address missed areas at no extra charge. Document specific issues and clarify your expectations for future visits to ensure better results and avoid ongoing frustration.
