"Despite their company name, Sixpenny Chimney Sweeps does clean gutters. Right now many gutter cleaning companies are booked through May and some into mid-June. My gutters overflowed in the last storm, rain is predicted for tomorrow, and I couldn’t get my regular gutter guys. So, I was very pleased that the woman, Catherine, who answered the phone really cared about my situation. She reached out to the technicians and fit my house into their schedule today. I usually pay $100-120 for one gutter cleaning. For same-day service I didn’t mind paying a bit more, $135. Catherine called me when I was the next house to be serviced. The technician, Denny, arrived promptly, was polite and efficient. My gutters are ready for the next storm. Yay!"

"I've used American Professional several times at various houses I've lived in or owned. They are an honest and professional company that does good work and stands behind it. I recently got them to give me an estimate on rebuilding the top portion of a chimney that needs brickwork. They inspected the chimney, told me it was safe to use, and gave me a very reasonable estimate for the chimney rebuild, saying that it can wait until spring if I wish. From my experience, they will do everything they can to satisfy the customer, whether it's a simple chimney cleaning or custom work. This is the best chimney company in the DC area by far."

"American Chimney Sweeps was amazing from the 1st communication through text till they came out and completed the job. I hired them to clean my exterior dryer vent cover and remove it since I was constantly having issue of lint building up on it. I had them install a new NO-PEST VENT, Exclusive Dual Door Dryer Vent Cover so I wouldn't have issue of lint building up and they knew exactly how to adjust it to fit properly and installed it perfectly. They made sure to put sealant all around edges and went back up ladder to cover the screw holes from the previous cover with sealant as well. Lewis and his partner did a great job and I would definitely hire them again!"
