"I highly recommend Remedy. I had a stubborn sink clog that I absolutely could not fix. Rema was very friendly and explained everything he was going to try and why. Suffice it to say the sink clog was fixed and I am very pleased."

"Excellent job! Highly recommend Kap! He was available when I needed him. Gave me an excellent price. Made an extra repair that another plumber said would cost another $100 or more to correct with my under counter, extra large sink and Kap didn't charge me extra than the quoted price. His way of fixing it was a far less invasive and time consuming solution! It was perfect. Very professional and personable from the beginning to the end. I will definitely recommend them to friends and I will use him again!"

"I called Remedy at 7:30am to request a new toilet installation, and they were able to get it done the same day at a very reasonable price. The technician took his shoes off before entering the house and kept his mask on the entire time. He was professional and courteous, as was the office personnel I spoke with. They removed the old toilet, installed the new toilet, processed the paperwork, and disposed of the old toilet, all in less than an hour. I would highly recommend Remedy Plumbing and will certainly use them again if needed."

"Called the main number and the lady I spoke with was very pleasant and easy to work with. Was looking to have a 50 gallon hot water heater installed, 2 drains snaked and a new faucet installed. She booked my appt for the next day. Zam came to the house to provide us the quote and even offered to do half the job then and come back in a few days to do the hot water heater. He was incredibly professional and did a great job on all the work. I highly recommend them and will call them again."

"The technician that came in (I forgot his name) was excellent. He explained the issue and gave me the cost up front. I had to do some checking but decided to use them. He returned the same day and got the work done. He cleared out the stuff from under my sink, made the repair without a mess and put everything back. Superior customer service."

"It went very well. WP’s prices were the most competitive. He arrived as scheduled to give the estimate and then to do the work. He explained things as he went along including an issue related to my sink design and the faucet I had chosen. He then resolved the problem nicely. Very professional. Will def keep his number for future needs."

Customers say: True professional

"Lal the owner came over right on time. He got to the job right away and worked efficiently to clear up the kitchen sink clog with a very reasonable price compared to other big name companies. I highly recommend him. Furthermore, he fixed the leak from garbage disposal previously not properly installed by my previous plumber. He is going the distance to help me out and provide a great service. I can not thank him enough."

"Charged $395 to install a refrigerator water line and remove an old saddle valve. We were getting low pressure from our existing fridge line, so I called to have the line and saddle valve replaced. Saddle valves are prohibited in the 2015 International Plumbing Code [Article 605.9] (adopted by Maryland), so I asked to have the existing one cut out and replaced with copper, then install a new ball valve on an existing copper line that is already closer to the the fridge anyway. Unfortunately Akeem either didn't hear or didn't understand the instructions properly, because after removing the old saddle valve he just put another one back in. I'm not sure why he even has them in his truck to be honest, since their use has been prohibited for several years. Anyway, after explaining again what I had been expecting he took it out and put in a ball valve. The finished work was of good quality. However given the misunderstanding about the job requested, apparent lack of knowledge concerning the Plumbing Code, and what I feel was a very high price for what amounted to about an hour's labor and maybe $25 in parts, I can't say I would use this plumber again."

"They were excellent! I called while at work and they arrived at my house within five minutes. They explained everything to my mom, who was home, and called me to verify what was needed for the repair. The repair on took only 5 minutes. A few months ago, we had another company fix the toilet. Apparently they did not properly install it and it cause a slow leak. What impressed me is that Cipriano could have really charged a lot and over sold what needed to be done but they did not. They fixed the leak. They were honest, knowledgeable, courteous, quick, and really nice people. I would hire them again and plan to for future projects."

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

While stainless steel is quite durable, it is susceptible to scratching. If you use rough, abrasive cleaning tools like steel wool or brushes, you may wind up with scuffs in your stainless steel sink. Additionally, harsh household chemicals including chloride bleach can damage your sink’s finish and decrease its life span.

Yes, you can use flexible pipe for a sink drain. Flexible pipes can make it easier to fit sink plumbing together with less measuring and fewer cuts. However, corrugated flexible pipe can trap hair, grease, and food particles in the folds and cause foul odors and eventually build up enough to clog the drain. Smooth pipes are recommended for sink drains and plumbing.

Since pedestal sinks are narrow and don’t have a cupboard to conceal pipes, many homeowners change their plumbing to make it less visible. It’s a big reason why installing a pedestal sink is more labor-intensive than other types.

Common problems include leaks, clogs, and low water pressure. Regular maintenance prevents major disruptions.

It is best practice to hire a plumber to install a bathroom sink and vanity. Even simple installations require basic plumbing work, such as connecting water supply lines and attaching the sink to the drainage system. While an experienced DIYer might manage a straightforward setup, any complex work, like modifying existing plumbing or installing new lines, should always be left to a licensed plumber to avoid the risk of expensive water damage. In most cases, a plumber will handle the installation, provided it is a straightforward job that does not require custom carpentry. It's important to outline your expectations with the plumber beforehand to confirm they can handle the full project.
