"The provider changed two toilets in my house. He pick them up at the plumbing supply,  He brought them to my home and installed them at the time that we had prearranged.  My house was left clean. He was professional explained what he was going to do and did a beautiful job with the toilets.  He was reasonably priced and I would highly recommend him ."

"I have invested in residential real estate for more than 30 years.  Renovating kitchens and bathrooms has been a regular part of the marketing process.  Since Stone Depot opened 6 years ago, I have relied on them to complete 15 or more such projects.  In each case, Nick Pappas, the owner and every member of his team, have consistently demonstrated a degree of professional concern, attention to detail, and quality control that always met or exceeded my demanding expectations.  And I have never experienced shoddy workmanship, cost overruns, or scheduling problems.  Indeed, when a project presented a special challenge such as an unusually small space or imperfectly constructed walls, Nick actually supervised the cabinet or counter installation.  I would strongly recommend Stone Depot to anyone planning such a project.  L. "Once Mr. Wilkerson arrived, I told him the problem I was having with my sink. He then started performing the work to unclog my drain. It did not take that long for him to unclog my drain and he checked to make sure it was running fine before he left. I continued to monitor the flow of the water draining in the sink. It has been a week since he performed the work on my sink and I have not had any problems so far."

"We used them several years ago and were much happier then. They did not take as much care with color selection this time as they did last time and the service was less professional. The subcontractor that did the tiling and sink installation was very good. Make sure you are very clear about the colors before any work is done."

Purchased Angie's list deal for free visit and 1st Hour of service for a pre-paid $49.  On first visit, it was quickly determined that the condo associate couldn't turn off the water to the building.  And the plumber didn't have a part needed to install the faucet in any case; so for both reasons the visit needed to be rescheduled.

After some delay due to the Condo Association needing a major repair to fix their problem; we tried again.  This time a new person came 1/2 hour early, which is a problem since they notify condo owners the build water will be shut of only during designated times; however the maintenance manager made an except and shut off the water early.  However, I indicated that they needed two individuals to move out the stacked washer/dryer to access the necessary plumbing; and the 1st guy was expecting the 2nd to come at the scheduled time.  So we waited and he never showed up.  And he was to have the necessary parts.  The 1st guy was able scrounge in the truck for awhile and did find the parts he needed, purely by luck.  Next, the 1st guy couldn't remove the washer/dryer himself and the maintenance manager helped him.  And he proceeded to make the repairs.  Subsequently, the unit needed to be put back, and the maintenance manager was no longer present.  I was able to help reluctantly since I recently injured my back; but with some pain and effort we got it back in place.  At some point towards the end, the 1st guy had a very heated discussion with the office about never working with "CJ" again (I assuming the 2nd guy who didn't show).

Now on to payment; the I had discussions with the office coordinator several times that my Angie's list voucher was still valid after the initial situation.  When the 1st guy called it in, they didn't honor that, indicating I used it with first visit.  A visit in which no work was done, and he didn't have the correct parts even if he could have.  So I was charged the full price.

I'm fairly certain the "2nd guy/CJ" was the same individual who came out the first time.  And while he was "fine", I didn't really like his demeanor.  I recognize he made the visit and couldn't perform the work; thus the reason I didn't really object on not getting credit on the 2nd visit.  But was not happy after being assured it was going to carry over.  And his not showing caused the 1st guy to spend billable time looking for parts and struggling with the washer unit, and worse making me and my bad back help him.

I want to say the guy who did the work was polite to me; seemed to do a quality job, and got through a difficult situation.  With the exception of the phone call back to the office in front of me, I don't have any complaints on his service.  I gave the D on price because of the non-application of the Angie's deal; but the price was probably fair given the time spent otherwise at about $95/hr.

In the end, it wasn't a disaster, and the price wasn't a real problem, but it still wasn't a particularly pleasant experience and didn't really instill much confidence.  I think I would try another firm next time to see if the experience was more positive.

"I purchased the faucets myself, using brands they recommended. I was disappointed that they wouldn't repair the leaking faucet because they weren't familiar with the brand (Jado). The installation was done and all seemed good until later that day when I noticed that the bathroom sink faucet that had been replaced was leaking from the pipe under the sink. They returned the next day and corrected the problem. Overall, very courteous and professional. I just recommend that you check the work thoroughly to avoid having to have them come back. The $277 price quoted below includes a $99 coupon I purchased from Angie's List for $200 worth of work. So the total job would have been $378 without the coupon. They saved me an additional $40 by providing 2 new connector pipes for one of the faucets free of charge."

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

Pedestal sinks typically come with two pieces: the pedestal (also known as the base or pole) and the sink basin. You may hear it referred to as a standalone sink. The sink sits on top of the pedestal, which attaches to the floor and hides the plumbing. Both pieces usually come in porcelain or ceramic.

Many homeowners stress about cleaning before an emergency plumber arrives, but you’re far better off doing the following while you wait for your plumber to get to your home:

  • Shut the water off at your water main if you have a leak or a burst pipe

  • Avoid using any water fixtures in your home, including appliances

  • Clear a path to the problem area so that it’s easily accessible

  • Consider shutting your breaker if you’re concerned that the leak may affect your electrical system

Yes, you can install a farmhouse sink on an existing countertop—but there are some caveats. You’ll need to precisely measure. It’s best to choose a sink that’s the same dimensions as your existing sink, since your contractor won’t have to cut the countertop. Otherwise, pay close attention to the depth of your counter (the front to back measurement). You don’t want to install something that’s so big it sticks out beyond your countertop and cabinetry.

Different plumbing problems can cause your P-trap to leak. The biggest problems are loose nuts and misaligned pipes. Over time, your P-trap can leak due to the rush of water moving through the pipes, which in turn loosens the nuts and causes the pipes to fall out of alignment. Other problems include worn rubber O-rings and cracked pipes.

If your kitchen is flooding, first turn off the water supply and electricity before entering the room. Next, focus on immediate flood control by cleaning up any standing water with a sump pump or wet-dry vacuum to prevent long-term water damage to your home. Open your windows and run any dehumidifiers you have handy. Finally, call a professional plumber to help find the source of the flood and repair it.
