"Expro did a fantastic job on our basement. The basement was already finished, but we needed some electrical, plumbing and drywall work done for an aquarium room and new closet. The team was efficient, timely and very professional. I highly recommend Expro for your next job!"

"They did a great job on our bathtub remodel. Overall, things were completed in a professional and timely fashion. If the crew ran into issue they discussed directly with me before proceeding. And any concerns I had Craig quickly resolved, thank you and your crew!"

"We have been with them for 25 years. They have always sent really respectable folks out. They communicate clearly. The only downside I have had is there were a couple of times they made a mistake of sending a salesperson instead of technician or technician/salesperson who try to sell us new equipment. We know the CEO because we have been with them for so long so we called him up and told him to stop that. He apologized and said the he would never do it again. They are always available. They were late a couple of times. They have been really good. I can reach out to one of the companies if I want if I have a problem."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

While it’s never too early to start planning for a major home improvement project like a home addition, give yourself at least a month or two to plan and design your addition, find a contractor, and get the permits in order. For larger projects like a second-story addition that require designing with an architect, plan on three to four months of preparation.

Blueprints are generally available for houses built after the early 1900s. Before then, detailed building schematics like blueprints were rarely used and even more rarely saved. If you have an older house and need blueprints, you can have a new set drawn up by an architect or draftsperson.

The most common scale for residential blueprints is 1/4 of an inch equals one foot. This scale is the most popular because it’s easier for everyone involved, from professionals to homeowners, to understand the building’s actual dimensions. Also, it allows blueprints to have the necessary details without cluttering the page.

Most towns and cities have regulations regarding sign dimensions for businesses. If you're opening a new business, contact the town or city's local zoning board to see the specifications you need to follow when getting your sign created. There may also be rules regarding how high your sign can sit. Be sure to learn about specifications before having your sign made. Sign companies generally won't offer refunds once custom signs have been fabricated.

No, space planning is not only relevant for new spaces. With the help of a professional architect, you can still create a space plan for an existing space.
