She was right--after shopping around for a granite or quartz countertop for our guest bathroom remodel, Pyramid Granite had the best selection AND best price. We were looking for something that would coordinate with existing tile in the bathroom and it was easy to find several choices at Pyramid. They were very professional, helped us make a decision, came out to measure and delivered the product ON TIME. "I received A+ service from Granite Works. I met Bruno Valente, one of the co-owners, on my first visit. He was very friendly and helpful, not pushy like some sales people. The slab I liked the best was marked sold.  In a follow up discussion with Bruno, my brother found out that the sister to that slab was available. Bruno gave it a rating of 11 on a scale of 1 to 10, and he was right.  Bruno held the slab for a few days until I could get there. Purchased it that day, and he held it for 5 months at no charge. Many companies my brother called on my behalf would not hold a slab longer than 30 days.
When my brother was visiting from out of town, they were kind enough to bring it out of storage so that he could see it.  That day, we met Art Rivera who spent considerable time with me us and provided invaluable advice about a new counter I was adding.  He also provided other design suggestions on the backsplash and paint color, which I followed with great results. That was an extra bonus I didn't expect. So, if Art gives you advice, you should definitely take it.
The templater, Glauber (hope this is the correct spelling), was extremely detail oriented and communicated well with my carpenter and his assistant. He made a suggestion for the end cap of the new counter and the handrail behind it that made it a true work of
art.  Gus Valente (co-owner), with assistance from Eduardo (stone cutter), did a great job of deciding what parts of the stone would go where in my kitchen and fireplace.  They have an amazing eye. I was so impressed by their finding parts of the slab in totally different areas that would best connect at the seams. The installers were terrific and that process went very smoothly. I have 2 seams that are barely noticeable.  Their work in the kitchen and my fireplace surround was impeccable.
Granite Works exceeded my expectations, and I'm very picky.  My counters are a work of art.

"I needed a new kitchen on a budget.  After I chose the cabinets, I needed granite, so I Googled and went to Angie's List and found Granite Vision.  The guys in the office were great.  They had a lot to choose from.  Even though I chose the "A" level (lowest cost and quality) my new countertops look like a million dollars!  They were easy to work with, very professional, and prompt for their appointment to do the install.  they have a big selection and I could see the entire slab, not just a little piece like some others.  The crew did a fantastic cleanup job too!  I would recommend these folks  highly.

"I was combining bright white cabinets on the perimeter of my kitchen with a walnut peninsula.  That required either getting a single granite that would work with both or two granites that would work with the different woods and each other.  I had searched on my own a couple of times and was leaning toward a particular granite.   Nick was able to talk me out of a bad decision.  He then very patiently evaluated dozens of granites with me, pointing out potential problems with some, narrowing down to others.  His expertise with stone helped me to choose beautiful slabs that work perfectly in my kitchen.  I then purchased the slabs and they were delivered to his shop. 
His process (customer buys slab, Nick's crew fabricates the countertop) yields left-over stone in his shop.  From this, he chose a perfect stone for my laundry room.  He measured, then his crew installed a week later.
For the kitchen, he was able to install less than a week after measuring.  That is amazingly fast turnaround for granite fabrication.  The granites were fabricated perfectly and look gorgeous.  Very professional crew.
Overall, it was a terrific experience.  Stonework is as much art as craft.  Nick has great taste and is willing to share that with his customers to help them make great choices.
