"While the materials and communication was good, unfortunately there were some things that left a bad taste and I am not sure I would use them again. While there were some issues that they are addressing quickly, like replacing a part of the door they changed because a piece was smothered with white silicone, and also replacing a panel that was broken when they capped the trim outside my home, and they destroyed my big rosemary bush. I'm baffled as to why they didn't notify me at the moment and instead I had to wait until the walk-through to find out. The forklift person who came to pick up some material that wasn't used left a hole in my driveway. I just sent them some pictures, but haven't heard back, but hopefully this looks like it will be repaired. I am also not happy with how the door looks after the install and the reply from the QA walk-through was 'that is how we seal all the doors'. I appreciate that the amount of clear silicone used will prevent leaks and bugs, it looks like someone watched a whole bunch of YouTube videos and at the end some measurement went wrong and the mistake was covered up with an uneven line of silicone. Time will tell how long the silicone will hold against concrete. I would have hoped instead that they let me know it would look bad and talk about options even if it meant spending more money to get it to look OK. door install: [*** Link removed ***] [*** Link removed ***] white silicon smears: [*** Link removed ***] bush: [*** Link removed ***] broken panel: [*** Link removed ***] driveway: [*** Link removed ***]"

Customers say: Quick response

"Have used Joe 3 times now. First to replace 4 exterior doors. Second to refinish some interior paint and trim. Lastly for a complete kitchen remodel. Each and every time he was prompt and very professional with great attention to detail. He has a permanent place in my address book and will certainly be called on again, probably sooner than later."

"Homecraft did a fantastic job with our new deck. Jeff (VP of the company) came out to do the estimate very quickly after we put in our request. He gave us great advice on what kind of deck made sense for our house, lifestyle, and plans. He also immediately provided a quote that was thousands below the competing estimate we received. Jeff took care of getting all permits, which was a breeze. The team who actually did the demo work and built the new deck were extremely courteous, respectful, and diligent in getting the job done quickly. Our next door neighbor (a deck expert himself) raved about how thorough their work was and how great the deck looks. We're very pleased with the new deck, would recommend Homecraft to anyone without hesitation, and will use them for all similar services in the future.

Door Repair questions, answered by experts

DIY is possible for minor latch adjustments, but professional services ensure proper alignment and long-term durability.

The cost to repair a sliding glass door is $225 on average. Your total cost could be as low as $50 for a new door handle, or $635 or more for replacing broken glass in your sliding door. Not only does the type of repair impact the total cost of this project, but the location of the door does, too. For instance, the cost to repair an exterior sliding door costs more than the repairs of an interior sliding door, like a shower door.

In some cases, you can repair a cellar door instead of replacing it. Whether you can fix it depends on how severe the damage is. For instance, if you have a leaky cellar door, you can repair it by adding weather stripping and caulking it. You would need to fully replace it for more extensive problems, like rot due to severe water damage. A pro can help you determine whether you can repair your bulkhead door.

To put your cabinet doors back on the hinges, first align the door with the hinge plates on the cabinet frame. Carefully slide the hinge pins on the door into the hinge cups on the frame, making sure they fit securely. Then, gently push the door into place until it’s flush with the cabinet frame. Finally, close the door to ensure it functions correctly and adjust the hinges if necessary.

There are a few ways to make your storm door less drafty. For example, if the bottom of your storm door is letting in air, you can lower the door sweep so there’s a smaller gap between your door and the floor. You can also install weatherstripping or apply caulk around the door frame.
