"He said to me, don't focus on the wiring just watch the TV instead. I waited three days later, went to Home Depot and purchase a white stick post and just layed it over the wirer because he nailed and tacked everything to the wall. Its working out, that's how it's going."

"First off - great customer service.  Larry called me within one day of purchasing to go over the details of my home and what we were looking for.  Scheduling was very flexible.  They have evening and weekend appointments.  Installation went smoothly and he took his time explaining the system to us.  We are not "tech" people and this system is very easy for us to use.  We even got a follow up phone call the next day to see if we had any questions.  A+ for this company and I will recommend to my friends and family.

".After our home was broken into in January 2014, I was motivated to install a security system. I asked my family about the services they use, and several people warned me about the small print in most contracts, and how tough it is to get out of contracts. Angie's List was running a special with Security One/Safe Home Security systems; they are highly rated, so I bought the special. I am very pleased with the level of customer service: they responded quickly via email or phone to all of my questions. Their technician guided me on the doors & windows to select for motion sensors. I am able to track disarming of the security pad by user via email, which means an email pops up whenever my kids come home/disarm the system. I am also able to track arming/disarming via their mobile app, or use the mobile app to arm/disarm the house. The monthly payment plan is affordable & there are no contract surprises/changes written in. They also guide me on things I would have forgotten, like registering my alarm system with the local police. I appreciate their guidance and service.

"Overall, the service performed was excellent.  James and his crew brought our 100 year old historic house up to the 21st century!  When we bought our home (end of summer '13) the modern amenities that we were used to just didn't exist ... no one had updated the place since the 50's.   While there was a live phone line we couldn't find it, and there was not one working phone jack in the joint (yes, we still use an old fashioned land-line), there was only one cable TV outlet  and it was way up on the 3rd floor, in an attic room, and no capacity for internet, much less wireless.  James designed a schematic-type plan and the installation commenced.  It was not without its difficulties -- 20" plaster/lathe and brick walls made it challenging and more time-consuming than originally planned, so original estimates were exceeded - significantly.  The job ran over by more than a week, which of course, meant that the cost ran over too.  However, we understood the challenges that the house presented -- while we weren't happy that it was going to cost a couple of grand more (yep, not a cheap date), we accepted it. To be fair, it wasn't just the challenges of the house that made the job run-over, we added elements that we didn't originally intend to - like running wire for potential future security cams that we'll probably never put in!  (Beware:  James is an excellent salesman besides being a genius wiring guy!) In the end, we now have jacks with computer, data and voice in every room and we are very happy with the product and delighted to have our house join this century, at least media and communication-wise!  The plumbing is a different story!!
Cable Connexions made good on every question, issue, hiccup we had ... no complaints, no attitude.  One example - when they demoed the old wiring in the house (taking out a literal truck full), they accidentally clipped the wire to the heating thermostat.  We discovered this when the heat just didn't work.  I called James immediately when it was clear what the problem was (discovered by the heating guy who made an emergency visit after a very cold night).  I know it wasn't convenient because they were booked solid, but James freed up one of his guys, Anthony (also great at what he does), and he came and fixed the problem within an hour or so of our call.
James is passionate about his work and clearly loves what he's doing.  He's a sweetheart.  He/they do great work.  Their prices are moderate (not the cheapest, not the most expensive) but they are creative and willing to work through whatever
problems your house presents to get you what you need!  I do wish he had a bigger staff because that would have made the job go quicker (thus being less expensive) but having discussed this with James, I understand that he likes to do things "just-so" - with excellence - and he said its hard to find guys that share the same commitment. We will absolutely
work with James again next year when we renovate our kitchen/family room area ... we would highly recommend Cable Connexions!"

Home Automation questions, answered by experts

In most cases, selling a home in as-is condition will lead to a sale price that’s somewhere between 10% and 30% lower than normal. However, it’s often worthwhile to sell at a loss because the alternative would be to pay for the repairs yourself, which could end up costing you more. Even if they didn’t, selling as-is saves you from the time and energy you’d spend coordinating the repairs.

A fireplace can increase a home's value by as much as 12%, with some reports indicating that homes with fireplaces list for around 13% more than the median sale price. Fireplaces are both functional and aesthetically pleasing, adding a charm that many homebuyers find desirable. The actual return on investment depends on the fireplace's size, type, and material.

However, a fireplace can detract from a property's value if it is unusable, not up to code, or in need of immediate repairs. The type of fireplace also matters; custom electric fireplaces and inserts can add value, while freestanding units that can be removed have less impact.

The main difference between a home stager and an interior designer is that the former creates temporary, generally appealing spaces, while the latter creates personalized design choices for your permanent home. A home stager seeks to depersonalize your home while also showing off the best features of the home to potential buyers. An interior designer works with you to infuse your personal style into the decor in your home. You’ll typically only hire a local home stager when selling your home.

Most staging projects take 2-5 days, including furniture arrangement, décor placement, and touch-ups.

A simple cosmetic flip with minor repairs can take as little as a few weeks, while more extensive projects that involve structural changes or permit requirements can take several months. The time it takes to renovate a house ranges between three and six months, depending on factors like the extent of renovations, financing, and market conditions.
