Ed and his team were true professionals. From estimate to install, I have no complaints and am extremely happy with my new 1100 sq. ft. basement. The crew was obviously well experienced and worked seamlessly with one another. Their pre-job prep, covering my pool and ping-pong tables with drop cloths and tarps was appreciated. They left the area clean every day, vacuuming and sweeping throughout the job and removing debris regularly. Eddie's no pressure, no hassle, and ease to work with impressed me from the beginning. My design build basement came together well due to constant communication with my wife and I, always ensuring we were happy with the craftsmanship. In the end, the price of install was very reasonable and we are extremely happy with the job. My new basement looks fantastic!

We have looked at a ton of different people to do work at our house. Toolbox was by far the best. They were honest from the start and everything they told us in the beginning was lived up to throughout the process. Every step of the way, they asked us what we liked. We had an outdated basement (old carpet, weird tile) with some rough-ins behind a wall, and Ed and his team literally transformed the space. Over the course of about 2.5 weeks, they put in vinyl flooring throughout and added a spacious full bathroom (vanity, toilet, and stand-up 36x36 shower). We gave him a general idea of what we were going for, and he essentially read our minds from there on out, consulting us if he wanting us to check whether we liked a fixture before he installed it. It was minimal work for us and maximum reward. We now have a nice in-law suite in the basement and our guests have so far loved it! The price was very reasonable, the team always showed up on time (or early), and they were very friendly and respectful of our space. We are currently hoping to use Tool Box for another project and we would absolutely recommend them.

We were thoroughly impressed at the punctuality, professionalism, and overall outcome of our basement finishing project. There was nothing to begin with but cement flooring and a cinder block foundation, so Ed had to frame everything out, insulate everything, add new wiring for the electric, make minor HVAC modifications, install doors, new flooring, etc.. It was really a complete build. From day one, Ed was thoroughly professional and proficient in his ability to not only explain all of the design and material options, but overwhelmingly knowledgeable in doing what was right for our situation. Most importantly, he didn't try to oversell us on things that we didn't need. Ed and his crew went above and beyond my expectations by addressing issues that were outside the scope of what was initially discussed. When we discovered that too many kitchen appliances were on the same circuit breaker (overloading the circuit), Ed’s team moved the oven to another circuit so that the oven would work if the circuit breaker ever tripped. When we learned the existing rough-in plumbing wasn’t suitable to meet the needs of both the new bathroom and wet bar being built, he incorporated all modifications and plumbing extensions into the project without changing the original priced agreed upon !! To my amazement, when the router network connections (placed in the basement for some strange reason) to the first floor computer kept dropping because of interference, he agreed to install an Ethernet cable and Coaxial cable on the first floor so that we could move the router to the first floor, making the computer and DVD streaming device lightning fast. He even did things totally outside the project. When we had extraordinary high BGE bill one month (and a suddenly very cold house on the 2nd floor), he took the time to go up into the attic one morning and explained that the HVAC cold Air return had become detached in a specific area (causing all the cold air in the attic to funnel back through the return to the furnace), but ensured us that it was fixable, making us girls in the house feel relieved. This level of service was something that I never expected, a true gentleman! Ed not only addressed issues that we had, but explained thoroughly the best approach for fixing them, leaving me feeling as though I was an expert with all the maintenance needs of my home after the job had been done. Ed made me feel included from the start with materials selection ( lights, paint color, flooring, doors, door hardware, bathroom fixtures, and everything in between). I was very comfortable throughout the entire process because I was included in everything from beginning to end. The price for the quality of work that we received was beyond compare, truly an exceptional value! I have recommended him to all of my girlfriends because he takes such great pride in his work. They do amazing work! I changed my mind numerous times throughout the project and they just smiled and changed the plan. I also added details and work along the way and they adjusted their schedules and fit in everything I asked for. I couldn't ask for better people to work with! I have them on speed dial and will keep them busy in the future.

I hired Ed and his team to rebuild an old deck. His quote was better than any other contractor and he used composite instead of wood. He kept us informed on the progress and always arrived at the time he he said he would. He also fixed a few other things while he was here. The finished deck was amazing. I have already discussed other projects with Ed. Tool Box has become our go to contractor. I have already reccomanded Tool Box to neighbors, friends and family. We look forward to working with Ed and his crew again.
