"We found Landscaping Quality Services through an Angi’s deal. Jonathan and the team were able to clean up our overgrown backyard very quickly. We learned that LQS could do so much more for our outdoor space than we thought: Jonathan brought many impressive ideas to the table, and was mindful of our budget. He was very responsive, addressed each concern we had and kept us updated during the week-long project. He was very professional and respectful of our property as he and the team revitalized our old, nonfunctional pond and made it into an oasis, complete with lights, fountains and a waterfall (amazing!). Our patio was cleaned out and renovated -- the area was graded and filled with beautiful pebbles and flowers. He made sure we were happy with the progress at the end of each day. Regularly clean pumps, remove debris, and monitor water levels to prevent algae growth and clogging.

Because frogs require fresh water for survival, they can die from repeated exposure to swimming pool chemicals. Chlorine dehydrates frogs, which can lead to their deaths. To ensure frogs don’t hang out in your pool for long periods, safely remove them once you spot them in your pool and install a frog log so they can easily hop out on their own.

Pond water should be changed approximately once a week. When you change it, change around 10% to15% of the water. It’s important to monitor the quality of your pond water as this will determine if it needs to be changed more often, or if you should be changing more or less than 15% of it when you do so.

A good rule of thumb is to change 5% to 15% of your koi pon’s water every week. Partial water changes help keep your koi healthy, and replacing small amounts at a time prevents causing stress for the fish.
