"I recently had the pleasure of working with Erik from First State Ponds, and I can't recommend him enough. Erik traveled all the way from Delaware to Maryland to service my pond, which was having persistent issues with murky water. Before connecting with Erik, I had already been advised by another company to purchase a specific filter and pump. Thankfully, I found First State Ponds just in time. Erik took the time to explain that while the recommended filter might clear my water, it would require constant maintenance. He suggested a different filter and a stronger pump, but he was also willing to install the one I had already purchased if I preferred. After some consideration, I decided to take his advice and returned the original filter to have him install his recommended system. After struggling with murky water all summer, l admit, I was a bit skeptical. I wasn't sure that anything would truly work. But Erik's recommendation exceeded even his own predictions. Within just two days, the water was crystal clear! I didn't really think that was possible. There were a few challenges during installation and I admit this was 100% due to a few things I had set up prior to meeting Erik. But he handled them seamlessly, troubleshooting as needed. For the issues that couldn't be addressed that day, Erik provided me with helpful suggestions on how to finish the job myself. While I initially found the price a little high, after seeing the fantastic results, answering my many questions (including a few the following day), and delivering on everything he promised, I can confidently say he earned every cent. If you're looking for quality service, prompt responses, and impressive results, I highly recommend First State Ponds. Erik and his team are truly top-notch."

"This is the second job we've used Riggs Landscaping for and I can't say enough about how impressed I am with his work. The first job was the installation of pavers from the driveway and onto the front steps, replacing the 'builder' cement. His experience shows, from the suggestions and implementation of sloping the terrain away from the foundation of the house which completely eliminated any water leakage which was occurring in the basement. I constantly receive compliments on how beautiful the pavers look! This job entailed the installation of a path from the front of the house to the back deck stairs. Most of the area was on a hill so it meant leveling it, putting in pressure treated lumber to build up the sides and burying the drain spouts. Perfect again! He cleans up, he's on time, and just an honest nice man. I would HIGHLY recommend him!"

They were extremely detail-oriented, they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and exactly as I wanted it, the communication was great. "Bob and his team did an outstanding job on a new patio installation and mailbox replacement. They were very helpful in recommending the patio’s size/shape, kind of pavers, the railing for the step-down from the house and tying the new patio to an older existing patio. They designed the mailbox post to be extra sturdy and built it on the spot. They moved sizeable rocks around the mailbox to protect it from potential snowplow mishaps. I am extremely happy with the results! The patio and mailbox look great! (Psst! I wish I had used them on earlier projects). Bob and his team were always professional and accommodating. It was a joy to work with them. They know what they are doing! I trust Carroll Landscaping to do an excellent job on future projects!"

"VRN-Masonry -not a mason 12 years ago, VRN Masonry performed a fabulous job of building a flagstone floor in my backyard. It needed to be redone. This time it is shockingly awful. 1. New mortar much darker, and sloppy, excess mortar wasn’t removed. 2. Not all bad mortar was replaced. Terrible, terrible job. I requested that he perform a proper job, in order to be paid. He didn’t even bother to reply, or to show up. Not a mason, not a professional, not a decent human being. Stay away from him, not worth a phone call or email."
