"We have been dreaming of a beautiful backyard since we bought our fixer upper home last year. After researching many of the landscaping companies in our area that did paver patios we did consultations and got quotes to evaluate the companies based on price, quality and design suggestions. I am so happy we used Salt Creek Gardens! They exceeded my expectations in every area. They were dependable and cleaned up after themselves after each day. The craftsmanship on the installation of the hardscape was impressive. We just had our first dinner out in the backyard on the new patio with the fire burning and the water fountain running!Thank you so much to Brian at Salt Creek Gardens. I recommend him to anyone that wants a quality landscaping project! The contact number for Salt Creek Gardens is 301-440-8017 They are located in Annapolis. But do work in surrounding areas."

You have several options for your pond by getting your yard ready for the winter. You can winterize your koi pond by ensuring it’s at least 5 feet deep so it doesn’t freeze completely, installing a pond heater or aerator and having it run at all times, and installing a deicer if temperatures are dangerously low for an extended period. You can also choose to shut down your pond for the winter by removing all the wildlife in it and bringing it indoors, cleaning out the filter and pump, and then covering the pond with a tarp.
While they’re popular and have a lot of pros, the cons of river rocks include the following:
River rocks don’t break down or provide nutrients to plants.
These stones can get hot and scorch nearby plants.
River stones may heat the surrounding soil to inhospitable temperatures.
Rocks can block rainwater from seeping into the ground if installations are too thick or tightly packed.
Most downsides occur when using river rock as mulch in gardens and flower beds. However, you can still incorporate river rocks into your landscape as long as you use them in the correct ways.

Seeps and springs form when groundwater reaches the earth’s surface. The main differences between them are the amount of water and the flow rate. Seeps are smaller than springs and consist of water that’s stagnant or flows slowly. Springs contain more water and flow more quickly.
