"I wish I could give a grade higher than "A" because Robert and his team deserve it. Initial contact was easy and Robert was here the next day to diagnose the problem. He explained it in a way I could easily understand. He told me exactly how we would proceed. Workers showed up at my house when Robert said they would without fail. He contacted me when they were on their way and followed up when they were done to make sure I was satisfied with their work. All of the contractors who showed up clearly explained what they would be doing and then produced quality work. Bottom line. Third Generation is the kind of contractor you hope you're hiring when you need work done in your home. Robert is great to work with. My only regret is I'm moving to Michigan and I don't think he'll make the 10 hour drive to help me when I need work done there so I won't have the chance to rehire him."

Droppings from cockroaches, squirrels, mice, bats, and birds can resemble rat poop, making it easy to confuse one for another. Mouse droppings are smaller and more pointed, cockroach droppings resemble tiny black specks or ground pepper, and bat guano can look similar but usually crumbles into powder. Bird droppings sometimes have a similar shape, but often include white uric acid deposits. If in doubt, it’s best to consult a pest control professional for proper identification and removal.

Setting up an animal trap in your yard largely depends on where you live and the type of critter you're dealing with. In many states, trapping nuisance animals like squirrels, rats, or raccoons is allowed, sometimes without needing a permit. However, certain wildlife species are protected, and not all states have lenient catch-and-release regulations.

Before placing a trap, check your local laws to avoid fines or other legal issues. Some areas allow DIY trapping, while others may require professional assistance. Most areas require a professional to relocate the animal once trapped. Consulting a pro ensures you handle the situation responsibly, humanely, and within the law.

You can make a DIY flea trap to attract and get rid of fleas naturally without pesticides. This trap uses soapy water with a light nearby to attract the fleas to it. They will jump into the soapy water and are not able to get back out of the trap. However, flea infestations can get out of hand quickly, so you will want to take action as soon as possible and call in a pest control pro if the problem persists.

While water bugs are considered generally harmless to humans, they can bite humans if threatened. Cockroaches are often incorrectly mistaken for water bugs. In this case, cockroaches can bite but are unlikely to bite humans.

Water bug bites can be very painful and cause symptoms such as redness, swelling, and allergic reaction. Bites will usually heal on their own. However, if you experience severe symptoms or an allergic reaction, seek medical help immediately.

Ticks are most commonly found behind (or even inside) ears, behind knees, in belly buttons, in the hair, and in your underarms. If you find a tick on your body or on your pet, use a pair of clean tweezers to grab the tick as close to the surface of your skin as possible. If you simply yank or twist it, you can leave the tick’s mouth parts lodged in your skin and will need to remove those carefully with the tweezers.

Once you have removed the tick, flush it down the toilet and wash your skin with rubbing alcohol or soap and water. Know the signs of lyme disease such as fever, chills, headache, muscle aches, and a rash.
