"We’ve hired Teddy from Mr. Handyman several times over the last few years, and we are always super impressed with his work. He is highly skilled at virtually every kind of task, large or small, and always knows how to tailor the job to the particular needs of our house. He’s installed exterior crawl-space doors, caulked around bathroom fixtures, shaved our wooden doors so they’d be able to close again, and replaced door knobs, among other things. And today, he installed new fireplace doors to perfection. He works thoughtfully and carefully, finding the best solution for each issue, protecting the house from any damage (even when carrying large doors through narrow hallways!), and cleaning up after the work is done. Finding a great handyman who you can trust is invaluable, and we look forward to hiring Teddy for any of our future household needs."

"The contractor was very nice and it looks like he did a good job on the caulking work. The appointment did have to be rescheduled a few times and the end cost was a little higher than what he quoted, but it was still market competitive."

"I ordered the gutter tune up service from angel list. First, Chuck (Head Technician) called me to confirm if he can come one hour earlier so that there will be enough time to complete the work before rain. Which is very nice. Second, after quick inspection, he showed me photos around all the problems identified for gutter and roof, and allow me to make decisions before the work starts. There are no push at all, after I saw these photos, I decide to add up the roof tuning service (mainly some caulkings here and there) . And the price is reasonable. Then, Chuck spent more than one hour on the roof, and of course, showed me the photos after the work applied. Overall, I am very happy to the service and liked Chuck's positive attitude & spirit, and of course his professionalism."

Caulking Services questions, answered by experts

Most professional appliance removal companies will not expect a tip, but offering one is a good way to show appreciation for a job well done. A tip of 10% to 20% is a good idea if your professionals are working in the rain or snow, if they take extra care not to damage your walls and furniture in the removal process, or if they need to maneuver the appliance through tight spaces or up or down stairs to get it out of your home.

Tipping contractors, builders, or general contractors is not customary or expected. Unlike many service professions where tipping is built into the payment structure, construction professionals typically charge a full rate for their services. However, you may choose to tip a worker for exceptional service, such as if they go above and beyond, stay late to meet a deadline, or work on a holiday weekend. Before offering a tip, it's a good idea to ask about the company's policy, as some prohibit their employees from accepting gratuities. If you want to show your appreciation for a job well done without giving a cash tip, consider writing a positive online review or offering to serve as a reference for potential new customers.

Reviewing your contract for termination terms is best when ending a relationship with a contractor. If there is nothing in the contract or you had a verbal agreement, communicate your decision in writing, citing specific reasons. Afterward, pay for the completed work per your original agreement. Remember you want a record of all correspondence in case you need a lawyer later to settle disputes.

Absolutely, they tailor their approach to address individual requirements, ensuring satisfaction on every visit.

Before hiring a handyperson, it's important to ask several questions to ensure they are the right fit for the job. Key areas to cover include their experience, logistics, and job specifics.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • What kind of work do you specialize in?

  • How long have you been doing this kind of work?

  • Are you licensed and insured?

  • Do you have references?

  • Can you provide before-and-after photos of your work?

Estimates and Contracts:

  • Do you charge for estimates?

  • Will you provide a written estimate and contract?

  • Does the estimate cover both labor and materials?

  • How much do you expect materials to cost?

Project Details and Guarantees:

  • When can you start the job, and how long do you expect it to take?

  • Do you provide a guarantee for your work?

  • Will you handle cleanup and waste disposal after the job is finished?

  • Do you have any questions about the projects on my list?
