"My work request was relatively small one, Mark was willing to accept the job with a very fair price. Very courteous, and got the job done when he said he would get it done. Definitely I would intend to work with him."

"Mr Handyman performed the service as requested. My shutter has been fully repaired as it was prior. My gripe would be that the technician performed the service before my arrival to the site which I did specify in the correspondence I had with the company. Maybe there was miscommunication between the receptionist I spoke with and the technician in the field in relaying my wanting to be there before work was done. Nevertheless, the completed work by the technician was good, and I'd hire them again."

"Very good - just needed my bathtub re-caulked and some tiles replaced/fixed. He did a great job, blended the new tile in with the old so you cant tell the difference. And the total came in under what I expected."

"We are very happy with the work All Things New completed for us. Willie walked/talked us through the entire process which was very helpful for us since this was our 1st home renovation using a contractor. They took the time to cover the work area, keeping the demolition dust to a minimum. Willie was able to adjust his plans, on the spot, when we changed our minds about how we wanted to handle one of the walls/doorway. Our project was completed on time and within our budget. Our expectations were met and then exceeded. All Things New will be the 1st we contact for our next home improvement project."

Caulking Services questions, answered by experts

A handyperson can perform a wide variety of home improvement and repair projects. Common jobs include painting, cleaning gutters, assembling new furniture, and replacing fixtures like cabinets or lights. They can also handle more complex tasks such as installing a dishwasher, fixing minor plumbing leaks, refinishing wood floors, and replacing doors. Generally, a handyperson is ideal for any project that does not require a specific license or certification, such as those related to major plumbing, electrical, or structural work, which should be handled by a licensed tradesperson.

If a contractor is in breach of your contract, sometimes it is possible to collect damages for unreasonable delays. However, such claims can be expensive and difficult to prove. If there’s a way to complete the work and maybe negotiate for a discount for some of the inconvenience, that might be a simpler and cheaper way to resolve any disputes.

A big resounding yes, hiring a contractor is 100% worth it. They bring expertise, manage permits, coordinate professions in different trades, and help avoid costly mistakes. A pro can keep your project on budget and schedule while ensuring quality work that adds value to your home.

While handypeople do not need to be licensed in many places, you should only hire insured pros for any home improvement work. Your handyperson should have active liability coverage that protects them and you in the case of an error or accident. Furthermore, if they have employees on your property, they should also have workers’ compensation insurance. If you hire an individual or a company that is not insured and they damage your property, have an accident while on the job, or become injured on your property without insurance, you can be held financially liable.

After cutting Corian® to the right size, you may have to attach it to another piece of Corian®, either at a corner or another seam. One way to create the tightest seam is to place the two pieces of Corian® on a level surface at ⅜-inch apart. Run a router in between the two slabs to create an identical edge on both pieces. Then use the proper DuPont Joint Adhesive for your type of seam and countertop to join the Corian® together.
