Basement Systems USA came out and looked in the basement and at the window from the outside to discover there was no drain in the well and the water was filling up the well from underneath because the water had no where to go and then found its way into the basement. They drilled a hole from the the window into the basement. They attached a channel to the wall and installed a french drain leading to the sump pump. A new, stronger sump pump was installed. "The work was excellent, however what was described and what was done differed. The maximum was described as the most extensive repairs. The repair entailed minimal digging and just the sealing of the main drain. It just 3.5 feet below the ground. One shrub was removed. They did not dig to the foyndation since they felt they found the issue. They did not reduce the price and that disturbed me since it was discussed."
