"My garbage disposal was nonfunctional and leaking. The other half of the sink was not leaking but its piping was apparently bad, upward incline after the trap. They showed up at the beginning of the 9-10am time window, quickly looked at the problem, and then were able to get the parts from Home Depot and do the replacement immediately. They tested both sinks for leaks and tested the disposal (wired wall switch). Dishwasher tube was connected to disposal but not tested (would have required running the dishwasher for a full cycle). Overall they were professional and courteous. Answered questions about pricing and why the extra piping work was needed. No significant mess left behind. Time taken ~2 hours total. Cost detail as follows: Replaced 1/2 hp garbage disposal (Insinkerator Badger 500) - $479 Replaced Two traps for dual sink drain - $200 Total - $679 The price is more than I had expected for this project as I had not anticipated the extra pipe work, but per google the sink trap replacement cost appears average. The Badger 500 is listed at $150 from Home Depot."

"David was very responsive to my inquiry, and gave me fair quote up front. We scheduled appointment, and he was punctual for that appointment. David quickly identified the issue, and ordered the necessary part. We then scheduled a second appointment (one week later) in order to install the part. He was punctual for that appointment too, and repaired the dishwasher. Upon repair, he identified a second issue and quickly remedied that. I would definitely hire David again for any of my appliance needs."

"I had called everyone that might help me fix my dishwasher...pumped the septic, snaked the main sewer line, called appliance repair, replaced the heating element, verified that the drain hose went from high to low; my dishwasher was still back flowing scrud onto my clean dishes at random times. Signed up with Neli, and had the answer to my problem in 15 minutes. James F gave me the part number for replacement and wa-laa, I’m waiting for it to come in the mail. I am very impressed and will use this service again as needed."

"Our technician, Bill, was prompt and honest. He checked out our dishwasher and let us know the repair needed. His recommendation was to purchase a new dishwasher as the old one would be expensive to repair. We ended up buying a new one and had some issues with installation. He came out again and helped us to install."

"They were excellent! I called while at work and they arrived at my house within five minutes. They explained everything to my mom, who was home, and called me to verify what was needed for the repair. The repair on took only 5 minutes. A few months ago, we had another company fix the toilet. Apparently they did not properly install it and it cause a slow leak. What impressed me is that Cipriano could have really charged a lot and over sold what needed to be done but they did not. They fixed the leak. They were honest, knowledgeable, courteous, quick, and really nice people. I would hire them again and plan to for future projects."

Dishwasher Installation questions, answered by experts

It might be time to buy a new dishwasher for your kitchen if you consistently notice a significant amount of water left over after a cycle, indicating potential drainage issues that are becoming persistent or costly to fix. Visible rust, especially on the interior tub or racks, suggests internal corrosion that will likely worsen over time and can compromise cleaning performance. Additionally, if your dishes are coming out excessively hot after the drying cycle, it could point to a malfunctioning heating element or thermostat, which can be an energy inefficiency and a potential safety concern, making replacement a feasible choice.

Regular use helps keep interior dishwasher parts functioning properly and the interior clean. Try to run your machine at least once every two weeks as part of your dishwasher cleaning schedule.

Every six months, running two cups of white vinegar through your dishwasher (place the vinegar where you put detergent) will help deep clean the unit to boost performance.

Your dishwasher drains through a hose that attaches to the plumbing below your sink or snakes out the back of your machine. In most cases, you can access one side of the hose from below your sink, as it usually ties into the same drainline that your sink uses. Otherwise, you may need to pull the dishwasher out of the counter to access it.

Yes, if your filter is damaged or simply too debris-filled to be of use, replace it with a new component. Check the instruction manual that accompanied the dishwasher for information as to the specific part. There are many online marketplaces that sell these parts, but perform due diligence to ensure you buy the right one.

Dishwashers should be cleaned a minimum of once every 3 months, but really it should be done monthly. This is to prevent germ buildup and will help keep your machine running smoothly. Dishwasher maintenance isn’t too difficult, you’ll simply clean the filter, wipe down the spray arms with vinegar or rubbing alcohol, and run the cycle on empty. If there is any debris, you can remove it with a small metal pick. Do not use wood as the tip can break off inside the machine.
