"The installers were nice and knew what they were doing.  We had some ground issues so there was an unexpected delay (no fault of the installers) The only issue was they didn't show up on time, and there was no call to me telling me they would be late.  I had to call the office, but the office did inform me that they were on another job and that they would be here soon (and they were) We had to allow the ground to dry a couple days and then they did fit us in and put the pool up.  They really did try to be as helpful as possible.  Was it a perfect install? no...  Did everyone work hard to try to make it as perfect as they could? yes... Just some minor setbacks that makes me not able to give them an A.

"Eric was quite knowledgeable with excellent customer service skills. He and the technician installed a new system which seems to be working well. Eric had to come out twice, once on Sunday which made all the difference in the world. He explained the problem which I understood and recommended a course of action. I would highly recommend this company."

"The pros -- it was easy to talk to a human being on the phone and they were able to come on a Saturday.  The electrician came during the 4-hour window as promised.  He was polite and professionally dressed.  Free estimate.

The cons -- the guy didn't seem to know what he was talking about.  He tried to upsell a new breaker box for $2500, claiming that we needed additional spaces in the box and that it's "old" and that the slots aren't numbered.  Well, I can number them with a Sharpie for free -- I don't need a new box for that.

Second, he said it would be $179 to troubleshoot the malfunctioning light fixture.  When I asked how much it would be to replace it, he said $179.  Either way, I think this is pricey.  There was also a GFIC outlet that had tripped and he said it would be $179 to look at it, even though I can get a new one installed for $45.

Finally, there was a language barrier.  Given the importance of electrical safety, I felt this was a real impediment.  I really hate complaining about this, as the guy was very nice, but he had trouble explaining why the proposed work was needed.

I ended up choosing a different company and was told that we do not need a new electrical box.

In the end, I got a nice glossy brochure and free estimate but will not be using them."

"The owner of the company came out and gave me an estimate of the work I wanted his company to do the very same day I called him to inquire about using his company's services.  The work was started and finished according to the scheduled two days that he said it would take to complete everything that I wanted done.  The work was done in a professional, timely manner, by efficient, knowledgeable workers, who did an excellent job!!!  Mr. Martinez made sure that everything was to my satisfaction upon completion of the job.  When I told him that my old door to my carport shed was too raggedy and old to go back up, he had one of his carpenters install me a new door the very next day.  The carpenter who installed the door also did an excellent, professional job of reframing the door opening and installing a classy looking new door!
In summary, the company did an excellent, timely, and professional job of the work I contracted for, at a reasonable, competitive price.

"It feels so good to finally have it all done. As always, Kevin did spectacular work. I have given his information to several of my friends. They have been very impressed with how much better my floors look. I can't wait until it warms up so, I can get some more outside cleaning done. Once again, thank you Kevin for taking such good care of my floors."

"My air conditioner was not working so I contacted my home warranty service and they sent a local company representative to checkout the problem. It was a capacitor - the technician installed the part and it has been working ever since."

"V & A provided a prompt estimate and provided helpful suggestions on installing a concealed location for garbage bins at the top of the driveway. On the day of the project, the crew arrived on time, worked very professionally on the project, and cleaned up very thoroughly. Val Pires, the company's owner was at the work site for much of the time."

"It was hard to initially get set up with an appointment, but once we did, Nelson (the owner) and his crew did an excellent job of doing all the tasks we'd paid for. We will likely hire him again to redo our walkway from the house to the garage and to repave our patio."

Sauna Installation questions, answered by experts

It will take several hours or more to build a sauna. A prefab kit will take anywhere from three to 20 hours to install, depending on complexity and your skill level. If you’re doing a custom build, it can take more than 50 hours—especially if you need to add ventilation, ductwork, and other renovations.

Most people will opt to put their home sauna outside near a pool or on a screened-in porch so the heat doesn’t move into the rest of the house. If your house has enough room, you may choose to put it in a bathroom so you can shower right after.

No, you should only choose high-quality wood to build your sauna. Not all types of woods can withstand the pressure from heat or moisture. Only use softwoods, such as cedar and aspen, that are known for absorbing heat and resisting water.

Both saunas and steam rooms offer some health benefits as well as a good return on investment. While there’s more research on saunas than steam rooms and fewer reported risks with steam rooms, the latter tend to be better for reducing stress. Which one is better depends on the benefits you’re looking for, your budget, and if you have space to build a sauna.

Considering the cost of tools, parts, and hiring assisted labor, building your own sauna can cost almost as much as purchasing one. It is less expensive to buy sauna kits, since they are premade and easier to set up. Still, you may need to hire a professional to assist in electric or plumbing installation.
