It went well. When the excavator was working, I didn't really understand when he asked if we wanted to "feather" the uneven ground around the pool- so now we have a lot of ground without the grass that was there because the feathering was put over top of the grass - killing it. Overall, I would recommend C&D's. They were very responsive every step.

Everything was excellent. The team identified the hole in our pool liner. On the day of replacing the liner, identified a potentially severe issue with the structure of the pool. Provided a recommendation for a replacement pool. Proceeded to remove the old pool and excavate the land in preparation for construction of the new pool. Once the new pool arrived, they constructed the pool and constructed new outline landscaping around the pool. We are now the envy of our neighbors who have all watched and gazed in amazement at our new backyard oasis. For all of your pool needs, this is who you need to contact ASAP.

C&D were really impressive. I had used them some years ago and (through no fault of theirs) I had to install a new liner. They came out promptly, did the work in a timely manner and I was swimming again once the pool had been refilled. I would heartily recommend them to anyone who needs any kind of pool work done.

This place is horrible!!!! DONT use this company Terrible customer service from star to finish. My husband communicated with a person named Cyndie who was rude and hustled him, The job was almost $10,000 and after they completed the job, the water stated draining as we found a hole in liner. At this point all monies were paid and this same lady Cyndie who called my phone and sent many text no longer responded. So my pool has only been installed for a day and is completely inoperable and these rip off artists could careless DONT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
Response from C & D'S INSTALLERS
"We didn’t know there was any problem with the pool. We installed the pool on June 11th, I checked to see if we had any messages and see they did text us on June 17th saying the water was coming out of the pool was no longer filling. Not sure how the text was missed, but it wasn’t ignored. No other communication outside of that text from what I can tell. We reached out to them as soon as we saw this email. We are scheduled to go look at the pool on Friday June 24th."

They installed a defective skimmer and want to charge me $125 to come back and instal the replacement. If their installer had inspected the part like he should have I would have been able to replace skimmer myself. Now I have to drain the pool and replace the whole skimmer, either by myself or pay them $125 for work that would take them 10 minutes. They don't care about their customers and not willing to help or bend on any of their rules. DO NOT USE C&D Installers. They nickel and dime you for everything and then leave a mess behind for you to clean up, including their personal trash.
Response from C & D'S INSTALLERS
"We do have a $125.00 fee to return for any missing or damaged parts. This fee was explained in a quote we sent to Mr. [Member Name Removed] on 5/18/2022 and in a confirmation letter we sent when the appointment was scheduled on 6/6/2022. The defect in the skimmer was not evident at the time of installation. Mr. [Member Name Removed] found the hole once the pool was filled. We apologized this was not detected during the installation however, the return fee would have been the same if it had been. The $125.00 fee is at a discounted rate, the fee to install a skimmer is $250.00. We are happy to come install the skimmer for $125.00 fee."

We had an above ground pool installed last year. When they finished we had foot prints and indents in the liner. They left trash laying around in the yard. The liner is already leaking from poor installation. We have to replace the liner after one year from multiple leaks.
Response from C & D'S INSTALLERS
"We are sorry for your leaky liner, We have checked our system and you canceled the installation with our company 2 days before the install date. Please review your records because it was not us that installed your Pool!!!!!"

This is by far the worst experience that I have ever had with any contractor/business. C&D Installers came on time. Their unprofessional crew leader was complaining the moment that he got to our home, that his office scheduled him for two jobs on the same day and how was he supposed to get two jobs done etc. etc. He was very miserable about it and used fowl language while he was on his cell phone arguing with someone. My husband ran out that morning before they came and got them all coffee and doughnuts and filled a cooler with ice and an assortment of drinks. The men worked for about a half a day (it was a very hot day). After they finished installing the pool, the crew leader, came up to me with all the paperwork (that he pre-filled in showing total satisfaction) and I naively and trustingly signed it. ....I know stupid me. One of the items that the crew leader checked off was that he affixed the "don't jump into the pool" stickers onto the pool which they never did. When I asked him a question, he raised his voice at me. He clearly didn't want to be there. I figured it was the heat getting to him and let it go. I can't imagine that a company would send out someone that behaved that way, to represent their company. I asked the crew leader if the bottom is supposed to have these layers to which he respond yes, that the water would fill them out. But the bottom was not smooth. After I signed the pre-filled in/checked off form (filled out for me by the crew leader) they left. We then filled the pool. The next morning we noticed wet ground around one side of the pool. I called C & D and explained to them that I think the pool is leaking because the ground is substantially wet, to which their office person told me to wait a week and see if it continues??? So after the 4th day and still a wet ground, I called again. They sent out the crew leader who then told me that we must have put a hole in the liner by using the vacuum cleaner. To which I laughed and said,  it's a brand new, clean pool that no one entered and at that point I showed him the sealed box for the vacuum head and hose...He returned to the office.  I called them again, stating that something is wrong because the pool appears to have a slow leak and after some discussion again, they finally agreed to send someone with equipment to check our brand new liner. They came out and after quite some time, told us that they could not find a leak however, about 30 minuets later, they told us that we have a small leak on the bottom (they told us we did it with the vacuum) and put a patch on. Again, I explained to them that we did not use the vacuum. At this point we were already regretting that we ever contacted them. Another few days went by and I called them again, stating that there is STILL wet ground in the same area as before. At this point I felt the woman that I spoke was only interested in getting me off the line and not willing to listen to what I was saying to her. The next day my husband called and explained that there was still water around the same area and the pool's water level was going down. She was only interested in giving us the run around and insisted that since her crew leader told her that we made a hole in our liner there wasn't anything else that they could do. The truth is that the company had no interest in solving this problem. They clearly messed something up during the installation. They had no desire what-so-ever, to resolve this. We let it go. At the time of the install, we had a two year old and a five year old with some pretty severe health issues, and we frankly felt too drained to argue with this company. We were too frustrated and tired to continue arguing.  I contacted them this year (the pool was not used last year) because I frankly felt that if the owner would just come out and inspect the pool himself, he would do the right thing. Even though  we should have contacted an attorney the moment we clearly realized that they were not willing to help solve the problem from our multiple calls to them within the first days and weeks after the pool was installed. We just wanted the owner to replace the liner that they damaged and their crew leader tried to blame on us. I can't believe that businesses like this exist. But they do. When I spoke to their office person a week ago, she told me frankly that I should have never signed the paperwork that their crew leader pre-filled in for me, and that because their warranty is up, the owner was unwilling to do anything, even though I explained to her that the pool leaked the day after they installed it and we put water into it. I told her that they should not give people paper work to sign until the pool is filled with water, so that the customer can see if there is a problem and then state if they are satisfied, this seemed unreasonable to her. Please save your money and the anguish. We paid $1500 and learned a valuable lesson, that not all business owners are fair, and just and live by a code of good morals and ethics. I could never steal $1500 from someone, don't let them do that to you. I thought it was reasonable of me to expect that C& D would install our pool correctly and without any leaks. I guess the owner sees this as unreasonable. I wished I had researched them more before I used them, because apparently we aren't the only ones that were duped!

"We are truly sorry that you feel as though we have wronged you in any way, The fact of the matter is you wanted us to replace your liner free of charge well over your 1 year warranty had expired. We installed your pool on 7/3/12 our work is guaranteed for 1 full year in writing. Your warranty for your installation was valid until 7/3/13. We received a call from you on 7/10/12 stating the pool was leaking. We sent a technician out on 7/12/12. Our standard is to use a leak detector to locate any holes in liners. The technician found 2 small pin holes that were patched at that time. He explained if you had any other issues or concerns don't hesitate to call our office. We received another call on 7/13/12 you stated the pool was still leaking. On 7/16/12 we sent different technician out with the leak detector again and determined the pool was not leaking at that time. We didn't hear back from you again until 8/11/14, 13 months after your 1 year warranty expired. We explained your warrantee had expired and any work being done at this point would have a fee. Due to the initial issues you had when the pool was installed you found the only solution reasonable was a liner change free of charge. I do apologize you have come to feel a certain way about our company we are reputable and have been in business for 20 years that doesn't happen from treating people unfairly and or unprofessionally. If there is anything we can do for you please feel free to call our office 800-818-2637."

I scheduled an appointment for estimate and called and arrived promptly.  I accepted the estimate and scheduled the work.  Once again they arrived on time which I appreciate.  The work was done as promised.  They had to pull the liner away from the pool to do a sheet metal repair.  The liner was patched and a new hole had to be cut.  I filled the pool and the repair did not leak.

They were prompt, EXTREMELY courteoud, responsive, thorough, professional, and any other positive attribute/accolade I can think of.  The Doughboy pools require SIGNIFICANTLY more work and are EXTREMELY labor intensive to install, not to mention, there are quite a number of additional calculations required for their installation.  I was VERY pleasantly surprised by the entire experience and would recommend them to anyone!!!!!!!

I thought C & D Installers, Inc. did a great job installing the pool but....I was upset about two things.
1.  The excavator that they used, over excavated my yard and of course I got charged extra for that.  My last above ground pool wasn't excated this much around the pool.  We're talking 2 1/2' in one spot, 3' in another, 4' in another and up to 5 3/4' in another. I don't feel that the excavator knows how to do a decent circle for a 24' pool.  I feel I got screwed in paying him extra.  Now I have to fill all of this in!
2.  C & D Installers left whatever they were drinking stains all over the cement patio in front of the shed.  So now I have to get the pressure washer out to try to get the stains out.
Response from C & D'S INSTALLERS
"We are sorry that your yard was out of level, and you have so much wastes material left over from the excavation we need workable area to install the pool properly, that is what is needs to be done to install the pool and have a workable area your yard looks like it is at least 10 inch's out of level or more and is tight by your driveway area, if the excavator did not angle up the yard at the deepest location you would have a severe drop off at that spot that is why it is larger in those locations , the sand is tamped and troweled smooth before the liner installation is done , if you have a gorilla bottom or amour guard ground protector for the bottom of your pool we have to walk on the inside of the pool to place it before the liner is installed we do the best that we can to make the liner look as good as possible, as you walk on the bottom of your pool it will start to blend together it may take this season and next but it will soon be fine and you will start to enjoy your pool , sorry for the soda stain on your driveway it should wash off the next rain storm and be back to its normal look. thanks for using our company and please recommend us to your friends"

I had originally planned on having C & D's Installers replace the vinyl liner on my very old above ground pool.  When they arrived, I was told by the installer that the pool had problems and was beyond repair.  He also let me know that he wouldn't install the liner since he could not warranty the work.  I appreciated C & D's honesty since they had already driven to my home, and were losing the opportunity to earn the income from the installation.
I did get an estimate for the removal and haul away of the pool, and for installation of a new pool should I decide I wanted to replace the old one.  I decided to just have the old pool removed for now, and scheduled them to come back.  They were professional both times that I dealt with them and would definitely call them if I decide to install a new pool in the future.

Very professional and friendly.  Was extra impressed that they used a wet/dry vac to pick up the extra stone left behind from the pile dumped off in the lawn near the pool.   Job site was left looking spotless.
