"The project manager of the remodel, Jason, was always in contact with me about when workers would be at the house and to see how everything was going. He also stopped by the house to check on the work. Ismar, the head employee of the job, was very good. He put down tarps to cover the floors and put plastic about the furniture and cabinet in bathroom. He also put up plastic between the bathroom and the bedroom to minimize the dust. The workers were very professional. The tile work in the shower was great. They also had to hang some drywall to fix a closet and paint it. It looks like that was always how the closet was. The shower come out beautiful. I would highly recommend the company and would differently use them again."

"The entire process went extremely well. The estimate was very clear about the scope of work, the crew was professional, on time and carefully about reducing disruption/mess and our basement is dry, as promised. They even went above and beyond and fixed a downspout outside so water would flow away from the house. Once the job was finished, the company rep came out to walk through with us and answer any questions. I have no doubt that if a problem did arise, they'd fix it."

"The crawlspace in our recently purchased house was a mess—full of water, mold, and deteriorated insulation. NV gave us a competitive price, on par with the other bids we got, and their bid seemed more comprehensive than some of the others. Jaime did an excellent job explaining everything to me and talking me through any questions we had. Once the work began, Manny and the rest of the guys did a great job—they were on site promptly each day and were clearly working hard over the three days of the project. Manny was very communicative and easy to work with and even went out of his way to help us with some extra items in the yard. The crawlspace looks awesome now—clean and dry! Thanks again to the NV Waterproofing team for all their hard work and helping us clean up a rough part of the house!"

"Excellent. The workmanship was superior, and the time it took to finish all renovations was minimal. A, B, & C should be at the top of everyone's list for overall home remodeling."

"Dan understood our problem did not need trenches and pumps inside our home. Our hill-side home didn't need a sump-pump internal system - drains run to daylight. His gang hand-dug an external trench, laid in perforated drain pipe and silt barriers and drainage gravel. They repaired cracks in the foundation, dried it, applied a drying rubbery material, then installed a dimpled drainage barrier cloth. They graded the earth around the house to aid rainwater runoff. Even re-planted my hasta garden. 2 days, start to finish. We are confident this will succeed."

"The work date was not well documented, but the execution was excellent. Three areas were lifted. Front porch was lifted by a whole brick row. Garage floor was lifted to close cracks. Back patio was lifted to direct the flow of rain water away from the house foundation."

"We recently had the pleasure of working with Tommy, who masterfully designed and built the screened-in porch and deck of our dreams. What sets Tommy's design apart is the minimalistic use of only four vertical support posts at the corners of the porch. This is a stark contrast to other estimates we received, which included numerous vertical posts that obstructed the view and created a confined atmosphere. Tommy's innovative approach truly gives the space a luxurious and open feel. Tommy goes above and beyond by including numerous standard options that other companies charge extra for, such as aluminum balusters, cocktail railing, and high-quality ceiling materials. These touches elevate the final product, making it feel even more premium. It is evident that Tommy takes great pride in his work, as he refuses to compromise on quality by using inferior materials like soffit ceilings, lattice, and cheap builder-grade balusters. The construction team, led by the skilled Humberto, was exceptional as well. They are true professionals who excel at their craft, always ensuring the work area is clean and tidy after each day. We were particularly impressed by their consideration in placing materials in areas that would cause minimal damage to our yard, even without being asked to do so. Our project was completed during the winter, and now our family eagerly awaits the opportunity to fully enjoy our stunning new outdoor space this summer! If you are considering building a screened-in porch or deck, don't make the mistake of overlooking Tommy. We highly recommend seeking a quote from him, as his designs and craftsmanship are truly unparalleled."

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

Mudjacking restores level surfaces, prevents further damage, and is more cost-effective than a full replacement.

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.

The timeframe is generally a few hours, allowing for immediate use post-hydration, ensuring minimal disruption to surrounding activities.

The method involves lifting settled concrete using pressurized cement slurry via drilled holes. This solves uneven surfaces and prevents further settling.

It’s best not to perform mudjacking in the winter unless the ground temperature remains above freezing. Freezing temperatures can cause the slurry to harden too quickly, compromising its strength and longevity. Concrete is also more susceptible to cracking and splitting in cold temperatures, so there’s a higher risk of damaging the slab during the drilling and lifting process in winter.
