"JL Smith is our go to contractor. He has brought our 50 year old house into the 21st century. Over a few years he has remodeled our: basement, kitchen, master bath, hall bath and foyer. Additionally, he painted the rooms on our main floor, replaced all the interior doors and hardware and upgraded our electrical system. We didn’t want just a cosmetic redo. We wanted our house to be ready to carry us through retirement with minimal issues. So our renovations were from the studs out. This included plumbing, electrical, wall insulation and termite repair. In addition, they fixed all the cracks in the drywall (walls and ceilings) and nail pops from the natural course of our house settling over 4 years. They painted all the areas and perfectly color-matched everything, and repaired or replaced and painted quarter round as needed. The owner, Scott, is responsive (he called within 5 minutes of me requesting a quote and was able to come out the same day for an estimate) and engaged before, during and at completion of the work.
