"After paying my deposit to have just THREE columns in front of my house scraped free of the crumbling paint and repainted, this company completely ghosted me. No follow-up calls, no updates—nothing. I had to chase them down multiple times just to find out when they’d even start the job. At the consultation, I was told the project would begin in about a week. A MONTH later—with ZERO communication— I had to contact the company directly.. again.. to get an actual start date. With the start date locked in finally, I get a call at 4PM the day before, telling me they don't have what they need to match the original paint… despite me providing samples AND offering the original paint bucket with all details. I'm not sure why that wasn't mentioned in the MONTH I waited for the start date, and I'm not a paint professional, but I assume a reputable painting company should be able to figure out how to match paint, especially when the customer has the original paint bucket? Then, on the start date... the technician shows up 50 minutes late, BARELY scrapes off the old, crumbling paint, and just slaps a fresh coat on top. Total amateur hour. I actually feel sick to my stomach that this is what I'm paying almost $600 for. When I voiced my concerns to management, all I got were multiple hollow apologies and no real solutions for such armature work. Bottom line: If you want to overpay for subpar work, endless delays, and to act as your own project manager, this is the company for you."

"I had a very positive experience with JCB and will definitely call them in the future when I need help. I wanted to completely change my kitchen but I didn’t want to shoulder the expense of new cabinetry. I spoke to Brandon about my vision (which was to have a rustic, distressed look on my kitchen cabinetry with coordinated accent cabinetry around the kitchen) and he gave me a lot of helpful info on the phone, even before I signed the contract. He came out to my home to show me what they could do, to make sure it was to my liking. His estimate also seemed fair. Once the job started, Brandon and Chris and Joe were kind and communicative, letting me know what they were doing each day and checking in for feedback. Because I wanted a unique, distressed look on my cabinets, they created the look entirely by hand based on my description of what I wanted. It was painstaking and labor-intensive, but they worked efficiently. The entire job was done in a week (they worked through the weekend) and I’m thrilled with the result. They also re-painted my walls, in a color that complimented the new cabinetry, and they replaced a light fixture. In addition to be very talented and building me a kitchen that I love, they are genuinely good humans, which is even more important. I’d highly recommend JCB."

They did such a good job at a reasonable price that I had no choice than to hire them again when we moved to our new home which required a major renovation. "The entire team was excellent. They were prompt, hard-working, and clearly took pride in their work. They were responsive to my questions and concerns. I was given clear heads-up about any additional work needed during the project and any additional costs. They were respectful of my plants and surrounding structures. They kept the work area tidy at the end of each day. Victor responded promptly when the original coat on the back porch exterior painting in some areas had pealed. We considered alternatives and paid to have an industrial surface coated on the horizontal decking. We are currently very pleased with this new coating. The re-screening was also very well-done; very pleased with the results. The painting and carpentry work on the front porch looks terrific! The pricing was in the hi-moderate range but well worth it. I will definitely work with Manor Works in the future for interior work this winter and any future exterior work."

The first was after we had a flood and needed to get our basement painted after water remediation. The second time we use the company to repaint our entire house. They were great helping with color consultations. We let our kids have some say over there rooms but the company was great in helping with that process. They also helped us be selective about trim and doors that didn't need to repainted to keep us on budget. I would recommend this company without reservation."
