"I requested that Capital Locksmith rekey the lock on my entry door. Prior to agreeing to perform the rekeying service the locksmith requested that I text him a picture of my existing key so he could determine if rekeying the lock was possible. The locksmith determined that rekeying my lock could be done. I was able to quickly make an appointment for the service. The locksmith arrived on time and quickly rekeyed the lock. To aid removal, lubricate the keyhole with a graphite-based spray. Then, try using tools like pliers, tweezers, a bobby pin, or even a jigsaw blade to gently grasp and pull the broken piece out. If these methods don't work, you can't reach the key, or you're concerned about damaging the lock, it's best to call a professional locksmith for assistance.
