"Hayes did generally good work but their follow through when snags arouse was all about saving costs to them and not about making sure the job was completed as well as possible. Our chief complaint was when a sump pump that Hayes installed went bad within the one year warranty on the work. They replaced the pump but never repaired the floor that was damaged because of the faulty pump. As well, they said they would take care of it but instead they strung us along for three months never repairing the floor. They had a couple of fellas come to try and clean the damaged tiles, to no avail, but never followed through with replacements. We currently have a damaged floor with no recourse but legal action. A similar issue occured with shower glass doors that were faulty as soon as they were installed. They recommended a selection of doors. The doors leaked terribly and they offered to install new ones at no cost to us but held us responsible for purchasing the new doors. We wound up scrapping the doors and settling for curtains. We do not recommend Hayes Construction!"

We have been in business since 1982, we are a family owned & run business. We have been in the the fuel tank & environmental & heating oil tank business for 30 years.

"We had a lot of emails and calls to determine the best tank replacement and the exact dimensions. The old tank was inside and there were several sets of narrow doors that had to be navigated to bring in the new tank. The crew finished in a half day and did a neat job transferring the oil in the old tank to the new, and in replacing pipes and fittings."

As a general rule, the protected area should be about 1½ times as wide as the canopy of the tree’s leaves. This digging measurement can vary by tree species and the age of the tree. Of course, that can be a lot of fencing for larger trees, which is why our first step is about making difficult decisions on which trees to save.

To locate an underground downspout, you should start by identifying where the above ground gutter drains. Look for an entry point, such as a pipe or elbow leading into the ground. Follow the surface path for signs like depressions, landscaping disruptions, or wet areas after rain. You can use a metal detector or plumber’s snake to trace the pipe underground. There are many ways to cut through roots when digging, especially if your trencher doesn’t seem to be removing the roots. First, use a shovel to expose the roots. Then, use gardening shears to clear out smaller roots or a reciprocating saw to remove larger plant roots. If you plan on keeping the plant, avoid cutting any roots over 2 inches thick.

Trenchers can dig holes as narrow as 4 inches or as wide as 4 feet. Check the specifications of the trencher you rent or buy to determine how wide it will cut into the landscape.
