Not well. Mike is not as knowledgeable as he claims to be. He told us that we needed a new pump and that he would be surprised if the pond worked after he cleaned and replaced the pump. After Charging over $4,000 for the cleaning, new pump, and lights, we saw that the pond was losing water. When we asked about it, he told us that the pond needed to be redone ant that it would cost us $5,000 to $10,000. Surprised and disappointed at the fact that we gave Mike over $4,000 and now he was telling us that we needed to redo the pond, we told him that we needed to think about this and that we would pay him the last portion of his steep charge after we investigated if he was being truthful. While we were doing this, he adamantly requested that we pay him immediately, and he had his friend call us disguising himself as legal counsel. Mike then proceeded to sue us. We paid him, although we found out that he had given us a cheap pump (most likely not new since he never provided us with warranty literature- even after we requested it) and that he knows very little about what he is doing. We then found an honest company who, for a fraction of what Mike charged, redid all of Mike's mediocre work and provided us with what we wanted: a working pond. Be warned- hiring Mike to do your pond might mean a world of problems and misleading information. Hire a pro- there are many on Angie's list.

They came over the same day I called, and installed a new pump.

Mike was extremely professional and helpful. The work was done exactly as we had hoped, and Mike also had very good ideas for making the pond dog-proof. We were delighted with the work, and it cost us less than half of what the big company competitor had estimated.

Mike and his crew were great! They came out several times to make sure it was perfect- even in the pouring rain. We couldn't be happier with how it turned out. We 100% recommend them!

Great! I contacted two other pond specialists. The first had no interest in a small job less than a full rebuild. The second blew me off completely at first before finally telling me they were booked for the season. Mike responded promptly, asked for details, gave me a competitive quote, and got me on his schedule quickly. We will use Metropond in the future for this pond and any future projects.

I moved into a house with a pond there. My pump stopped working shortly after I moved in and my pond needed a cleaning badly. Mike returned my call promptly and showed up when he promised and was very professional and friendly. The reason my pump stopped working was because it was clogged with all the sludge form the pond. Mike got the pump working again and only charged me for the pond cleaning and din't try to upsell me a new pump or charge me for fixing it. I was also curious how to do the cleaning, so that next time I can try myself. Mike was very helpful in giving me pointers and tipes for the pond in general. 
I also had fish I didn't want to put back in the pond.  Mike left me his big tub and bubbler (free of charge), so i had time to give away the fish later in the week.
I would definetly use him agian!

My pond had been not been properly maintained (at all - i had no idea what to do as i inherited the pond) for 5 years and was completely overgrown.  Metro Ponds  brought it back to splendid life!  It was a huge job and Metro Ponds performed a miracle on it!  Completely professional, hard working and taking obvious pride in a job well done the first time, Metro Ponds transformed my backyard pond from an overgrown mess to a clean, tranquil pond - the entire process took about 7 hours!  Even when they hit an unforeseen major obstacle, they tackled it with complete aplomb and i cannot say enough good things about this company.  My backyard looks brand new.  I will certainly be hiring them back to maintain my pond!

My experience working with Mike was fantastic. He was prompt in returning calls and texts. He discussed what needed to be done as far as cleaning our pond as well as things that would improve the enjoyment of our pond.  He arrived when he said he would.  He relocated our fish, drained the pond, power washed the entire thing (and offered to do some spots on our patio), refilled the pond and even gave me some advise on how to maintain the pond and what to feed the fish which were just coming out of hibernation.   Everything looks so much better once he finished.
I especially liked the fact that he gave me some additional ideas of what we could do to enhance the appearance of the pond without making it a hard sell.  He even offered to share some lotus plants with me once they were established.
I will be using Mike for any and all of our pond needs. Hopefully next time he will not have to work in the rain/snow/rain/snow.

Mike Westwood did an outstanding job on my small pond. He drained it, found existing leaks and repaired them (this required more than one visit), cleaned the pond hose and rearranged stones to make it spray so much better. He make some important recommendations about improving the look and ecco-system of my pond. He also went to a nursery and got stones to put on the bottom which make a great improvement in how the pond looked and functioned. I really appreciated that he took such care in doing everything need to not only return my pond to a functioning level, he went above and beyond to make it look great. He made recommendations of products that I could order on line to keep my pond water looking clear and free of bacteria. I am very pleased with with the results. I plan to continue calling on MetroPonds and Mike Westwood has my highest recommendation.

Mike Westwood, MetroPond owner, listened carefully to our thoughts and dreams for this project. He asked good questions and met every expectation. He wanted us, his customer, to be happy with his work. He recreated and gave vibrant life back to our pond. We are very satisfied and are enjoying the soothing noise from the pond's waterfall.
