There was a problem with the aeroseal team assigned to seal any holes in the air vents. The aeroseal solution leaked throughout the house, even into drawers, closets, on clothes, everywhere. "These guys were terrific! I hired them to install sound proofing insulation in our basement rec room ceiling. They did two layers of insulation including 1 layer of spray foam. Additionally they hung drywall which saved me a ton of time/money when it came to my general contractor. They were clean, on time, and respectful. As for Brad K., the job begins with Brad coming to your house and conducting an Energy Audit. This gives everyone a far better understanding as to what needs to be done in your home. And, Brad concludes with conducting a “ Test Out,“ to see the improvements. Pepco will offer you a partial rebate for the work completed and they are very satisfied with a 20% reduction. As for us, we hammered Brad with dozens of questions over the course of time before and after we ratified an agreement. "My house is a little wacky and the proposal was to include all of the crawl space and ceiling surface area. Sadly there was no way to know that a portion of both were inaccessible to insulate. Was hoping to fix issues with freezing pipes by insulating but that is the part they could not access. The scheduling and some staff on the phone is a little dry on the phone. The crew who came to do the job worked their butt off and were super nice. CJ, who drew our proposal, was very nice and knowledgeable. He warned me that his estimation might be a little off but the estimation of the Pepco energy saving percentage back ended up being way off after the energy audit. That made the job much more costly than predicted and I had not planned for that. He was willing to adjust the bill slightly but not significantly enough to really make a difference. Overall, it is going to make a huge difference in the comfort in the house and the crew was very professional."

"There was a problem initially with the radiant barrier installation - the first crew of two were installing 30" wide rolls lengthwise along the roof end to end  instead of from ridge to eave as the manufacturer recommends and made a couple of other minor mistakes which were easily corrected. After talking to the manufacturer, the sales rep offered to take out what had been installed and re-install according to spec or continue as already done with sealing of all seams and a discount on the job. Done this way, the foil would not have the insulation properties per spec but would provide the radiant barrier I desired. I chose the letter option and the barrier work was continued by another crew on the 2nd day. On the 3rd day the crew finished up with the barrier then blew in the installation.

With the exception of the initial problem, the work was done neatly and professionally by courteous workmen who cleaned up completely after the job was done.
