He went about protecting the range top immediately below the microwave, removed the current microwave, made sure the mounting screws for the new unit were centered on the studs and did his thing. In roughly 2 hours, the old unit was removed and the new one installed. He even adjusted (centered) the new unit to my liking - not an easy task in a kitchen in which NOTHING is square. He also used a HEPA-filtered vacuum to clean up. What more could you ask? I highly recommend Bob. He's professional, knowledgeable, and experienced."

"Before starting, let me say that I knew in advance that this job was complex, difficult, and certainly not much fun. It would probably require crawling 20 feet into our 30-inch crawlspace with poor lighting and lots of spider webs. I got very worried when Evan's tech arrived without the required fishing tool and apparently not knowing what I had told Evan about the project. But he reassured me that the bill would not go over the minimum ($140) even if he needs to spend more time. He was good to his word. He drove to Home Depot, brought back a really good fishing tool, crawled into that crawlspace at least twice, used the tool, rescued the lost wire pair, carefully connected and tested it, and cleaned up the mess. Bravo! I graded the job down by one star only because Evan didn't tell him enough in advance. Otherwise, perfect."

"Bertie was recommended to us by a friend for some work that he completed in Jamaica Plain. We recently built a 2nd floor on our cape in Milton and needed walls and ceilings in three bedrooms, a bathroom, and a hallway and stairwell. Bertie was prompt with his bid and was extremely flexible with his start date. He was finished with the entire job in less than four days, which was incredibly impressive. In addition, part of the demolition included tearing down two walls on the first floor and a strip of drywall by the front door. Without asking, Bertie fixed those as well and included them in the price. Furthermore, we are installing a pocket door and need to wait for that before drywall goes up, plus our plumber needs access to the shower before the durock goes up, and Bertie has already committed to helping us with those issues as soon as they are ready. I would absolutely hire Bertie again in a second if the need ever arises again."

"It went great! John I was amazing. He did a great job, and because the jobs my wife and I have we were only available for weekends. So we had John for 4 hours, we didn’t realize he would finish everything so fast, so we had to give him additional tasks. We felt Bad, but he did help with tasks which my wife and I knew we would have trouble with. He ripped out carpet in an adjoining room, installed a door that we had bought, and put up some exterior lights, and mounted a Tv. He also took pictures so he could give us estimates/quotes for future projects. John was very honest, social, polite, and most importantly transparent. Because of great John was, my wife and I know that we will be using Mr handyman (hopefully John again) for an attic ladder door install, basement door install, and window removal/install.
