"A really good experience. Our bathroom faucet was not working. We contacted many plumbers who had a long wait period. Petros called back right away and had me take photos of the faucet. He said that instread of calling him in for a simple repair, he could walk me through doing it myself! Amazing! We will certainly be using P Floros for all future plumbing needs."

"I am very pleased to write this review because my wife and I are so excited to have our new bathroom. Our home was built in 1873 and is designated a Historic District by the City of Somerville Historic Preservation  Commission. This job was a challenge to do. The original vent pipe was badly corroded and needed to be replaced and this accounted for a smell we could never figure out. Thank you to Tony and his crew for dealing with a difficult job. We were so impressed that they removed the entire stack with no damage at all to the wall downstairs.  We want to thank Jeff, Johnny, Mario, Gary, Tony, Dan, Jairo, Elvis and Paul. These guys came on time and there was somebody working on the bathroom every day. They were like clock work. Dan and Jairo did a fantastic job tiling. They are artists. Our 86 year old father lives with us and these men were very professional, respectful and all gentlemen. You just never know who you are getting when you hire a contractor and these guys are all a gem. I want to thank Jeff who always answered my calls, texts and emails and always got right back to me whenever I reached out to him. He was incredibly responsive and I thank him very much. The bathroom was poorly constructed from the start and Jeff and his crew came up with a plan to maximize the space and give us the largest shower they could. We added a linen cabinet and the bathroom still looks and feels larger. The wall entering the bathroom was poorly constructed and Dan was really concerned that it would not be sound structurally and the swing of the door would eventually cause problems. He advised us to let them knock down the wall and reframe it and replace the door with a smaller one to provide a more sound wall structurally. He was concerned that we would have a beautiful bathroom and not be happy with the entry to the bathroom and he was right. We were concerned that this would add to our budget and Jeff assured us that he would not charge for the wall to be reframed because it was the right way to do it. He held to his word. He also included a discount quoted on Angies list. He proved to me a man of his word from beginning to end.

If you are thinking of hiring a contractor you cannot do better than Jeff Veglia so stop looking. We would hire him again in a heart beat and are already having discussions about having heat and a new floor installed in our kitchen.

"[Overall impression] How many times did I her Joe saying "Sure!" and "We can do that!" since we started our bathroom remodeling project last summer? Countless. Joe and his team have transformed an old bathroom of ancient construction to new, comforting, soothing heaven, with no headache/hustle/annoyance throughout the project. Craftmanship Joe put in the detail was above and beyond. The door originally painted in solid color was decorated as if it were stained to match its style to the door near the bathroom. There is no gap at all in trims installation. Every part was installed at a perfect angle. All electric parts and plumbing functions flawlessly. And more importantly, all issues that would have been neglected by other contractors are still addressed! [Project Detail] We started our plan to remodel the bathroom in spring of 2017. A designer was hired to perform a rough drawing of the new bathroom on which a couple of construction companies were invited to propose bids. Among three we received bids, Joe provided us the most competitive bid but lots of personal touch in the proposal. His proposal was not a copy/paste from his previous job. He scribbed his plan, and contingency plans specially tailored for our remodeling and responded quickly to the changes we requested. The construction started while we are away on vacation, and it turned out it was the right choice we made. By the time we came back from the vacation, the demolition was all done, and rough installation including discussion with city inspector to make everything in order. The rest of the installation including plumbing, electricity, tiling, vanity and tub installation all happened flawlessly. I found out and later appreciated, that Joe's goal was to provide a functional bathroom to our family as soon as possible and work on detail then. In retrospect, that was a very wise strategy as Joe spent extra attention and time to make all installation complete until we finish the project. When we had issues with plumbing or some detail was not in the original plan, Joe addressed them after we started using the bathroom. We recently identified a minor issue with bathtub installation, which I believe Joe will address by saying "Sure!". [Logistics] As Angie's list user, I care a lot about the ease of communication with contractors particularly. No one uses a web to find a contractor using the internet, and ended up using a phone to communicate with them! I am a busy professional who rarely uses a phone for business. Likewise, I expect my contractor to use emails (and texts) for communication. Joe was perfect in that regard. All of his communication including invoicing were all electronic. I could communicate, pay, request changes all by email when I am away for the business trip. There was no ", please meet me Thursday noon to discuss the project" with Joe. If you are one of them who has meetings or things to do during daytime (which most of the people reading this report would be), hire Joe. [Tips and expectation for future customers] A couple of things a prospective customer should know and expect before she starts to work with Joe. 1) Demolition, carpentry works, titling are all performed by Joe's in-house employee or someone Joe constantly work with. This employee seems to be more engaging to our project, and responsive to Joe's commands. He is a very skilled carpenter. 2) Plumber, electrician, and painters Joe brings in from outside company are top notch but seem to be in high demand. They tend to show up on later days than Joe says they would. They did amazing jobs. Thus it was worth waiting for them for extra days or a week. But you just have to gauge your expectations to this reality and don't get yourself stuck at home waiting for them. We used our keypad lock to let them, but we felt we were neglected in the beginning when we didn't know these outside contractors pattern. 3) Since external contractor relies on parts delivered to our house by a courier service when Joe or I was not present at my home, no one was really in charge of inventory control. There were a couple of occasions the external contractor could not find the parts to be installed on the day they showed up. I will hire Joe again for sure, but Joe and I have to come up with a better way to receive items, identify them, and provide them to contractors accurately. Perhaps, shipping all items to Joe's attention can be a solution to avoid the confusion. [Conclusion] I will hire Joe for any project we will perform for our house. His craftsmanship and personal attention I received are addictive. I also learned how I could work with him; perhaps he knows me more too. I hope this review will lead to creating happier customers like me."

"I called 4 well and pump specialists a couple of Saturdays ago when my well pump started running constantly. John called me back within a couple hours, the only one of the four to respond to date. He had a moment, and we talked through the issue on the phone. John stayed on the line as I made several adjustments and performed some basic diagnostic tests on the system. He was able to guide me through an immediate fix and asked that I make an additional repair (replace Pressure Gauge) and call back if there was future trouble or questions. This took close to 30 minutes of his time. As he had a moment, and I am a contractor with some hands on ability and tools - no charge! Awesome experience. Anyone else would have sent a tech at weekend rates. Well Water Connection just moved to the top of my call list."

"This was the second time we used H L Bowman for our plumbing needs and we have been impressed both times. Their plumbers are prompt, courteous, and friendly, in addition to being great at their craft. For this visit, I had a leak under a kitchen sink and did not realize that I needed to have the entire faucet replaced. The plumber recommended the closest plumbing supply store and waited while I selected the one I wanted. He efficiently did the replacement. Very happy with H L Bowman and would highly recommend them."

"My new condo had a large cubby hole that used to house a mini closet and electronic components.  The previous owner must have ripped out some wiring in the space, leaving behind an ugly mess.
The cubby hole was about 20" x 60", with the bottom about a foot from the baseboard.  I left a message for Bill and he called me back right away.  I explained to him that I already had painters scheduled to come in shortly to paint the entire place and needed the shelves completed as soon as possible.
He showed up precisely when he said he would, and provided a fair estimate.  I should mention that other contractors I contacted didn't think it was worth their time to come out and review for an estimate, and they would only provide an estimate based on pictures and measurements I provided.  I felt much better that Bill actually came out to see the place before taking the job.
He suggested that we extend the shelves to the top of the baseboard, and was the only one to suggest this.  I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but I felt I could trust his expertise.  His estimate was very reasonable.  He came back later in the week, early in the morning to complete the job, right when he said he would.
The shelves look fantastic!  I now realize that it would have looked strange if we hadn't extended it to the baseboard.  i will definitely hire him again.

"Michael is hands down the best I’ve ever worked with. He’s exactly who you wish the folks working on your home are like. He has an amazing attention to detail, meticulous, and puts safety above all else. When he realized my boiler couldn’t be put in just yet because of further water damage, he had a water remediation company come in TWO hours to instantly start the process. When he realized my hoses needed updating, he made sure to call it to my attention and had them switched out. For work outside of his scope, he still makes sure to let you know what’s the best for future proofing your home. Above all, he’s communicative, on time, honest, and always there when I have a question. Plus, you can tell he really cares about his craft, and that translates to the job. He chooses the best solution for your situation. My only complaint is I wish he did literally everything else outside of plumbing! I’d want a Michael version of a carpenter, electrician, every day handyman. He‘s that good!"
