"They did a GREAT job! They first ran into permit problems in Brookline, but Rich (?) was able to fix that and didn't charge me extra. Then on the day of the work, they showed up and worked through to the next day and removed the whole chimney from the inside without making a dent in the house. I was MOST impressed with this as I have 2 small children so dust is a big deal to me. Since they are so prompt and efficiently, i was able to coordinate with my roofer to come in on the same day to seal up the roof. At the end of the day, you couldn't even tell that someone had removed a chimney just minutes before. Highly recommended!

"I learned that the flues did not need cleaning, but that there was about 4 feet of flue lining that was missing from the top of the chimney--there are ceramic tiles in there and for whatever reason, 4 ft were missing from the top. They replaced this with a liquid/concrete/solidifying material to seal/line the flues"

"Called 3 chimney sweep/repair companies. Aaron's 2-man crew was the only 1 to visit premises to provide estimate. When I found a discount on their website they reduced the estimate without a hassle. Work was done within an hour at the date/time specified. Mark invited me to inspect the work before we finalized payment and receipt."

"Our chimney needed to be rebuilt from the roof up. We called Carl for an estimate and he sent someone out who gave a free verbal estimate of $1300.00. We scheduled the work and were told they would come out to do the project as soon as they could, as there were other projects ahead of us. The work was completed during three consecutive days by the same gentleman who came out the first time to give the verbal estimate. On the third day, when the work was completed, Carl's worker stated he would be collecting a check from us that day. He then asked what we were quoted on the formal estimate from the company. This came as a complete surprise to us as the only estimate we had ever received was the free, verbal estimate when he first visited our home. He then told my husband he was under the impression the total for the work came to $1800.00 and then he called Carl to confirm. Because of the miscommunication, Carl agreed to charge us $1350.00. This was a positive aspect in our dealings with the company, although they could have been more communicative and clear regarding a formal estimate in the first place. After the work was done, we noticed a lot of debris on our roof, including broken bricks and mortar from the old chimney. We also noticed that a large piece of mortar/cement had been left under our back deck as well as had been spread over parts of our foundation. We are assuming this was extra and the worker was trying to dispose of it. We also never received a receipt for the work. We should have asked for one when we gave him the check, but we were going out of town and were in a rush. Therefore, my husband called Carl multiple times the next week. Carl never answered his phone and his voicemail box was full every single time. My husband also sent an e-mail to the address listed on the company's website, detailing our concerns: 1) no receipt, 2) debris on the roof, and 3) a free cleaning of the chimney which had been part of a verbal agreement -- and my husband never heard back. Due to their unresponsiveness and the mess that was left at our home, we have given up on contacting this company and will be using a different company for any further chimney repairs or cleanings in the future."

"I had used Michael for a commercial property approximately 6 years ago to replace a roof on 100 year old 2 family and the job went flawless, at the time he noticed some chimney issues and handled that also for us with a mason who repointed and sealed all leaks. No leaks or issues since even during the horrible winter we had last year. Since then I have recommended him to clients, friends , relatives and neighbors all whom have returned glowing reviews. He replaced my personal residence roof last november- was cedar shingles with the HD Architectural shingles. The job went quickly and smoothly. The crew was fantastic, fast, clean and respectful. And my roof/home looks better than it ever has. About 1 month ago a friend/neighbor asked me if I thought he would do a small section of roof. I had spoke of him in the past and  recommended him and she has seen his work on several homes in the neighborhood. She couldn't get any roofer to touch it due to the size of the job. So I gave her his number and left it at that. He got back to her promptly and set a date a few weeks out, and she just called to thank me roof is completed and her experience was great. Also he will be doing another commercial job for me on 2 small apt buildings either this fall or early spring.  Michael and his crews have always done an excellent job I wouldn't even consider using anyone else.
