Block - Bathroom Renovations Done Right

Submitted to Angi looking for a bid for bathroom / kitchen updating. Block responded. I thought it was odd that the company is located in NYC while I am in Boston. The rep indicated they do the planning and then hire contractors to do the build to their specifications. I said "so, they are subcontractors?" and then they denied they are, but also reinforced they do not have contractor employees. Rep said they stringently test contractor partners they work with so they are top of the line, and if something doesn't work they can pull a contractor off and replace them. I was like "what happened to stringent oversight so you are only getting the best contractors?" In the end they wasted my time by ignoring what items I indicated I was looking to have done, and sent me a sky high bid for a large array of things I don't need done. When I challenged this, they said they only do gut rehabs. Why not disclose this at the start instead of wasting my time trying to sell me a top of the line gut rehab I don't want or need? Found this company very frustrating to deal with and frankly, duplicitous. I would not trust them.

It was helpful to have somebody organizing the process of what you need, which gave us a better understanding of what the entire project would cost. The drawings were helpful in visualizing what the bathrooms would look like. Block was helpful in working with the construction team to implement the design. We loved the final result.

We love our new bathroom. Functionality with a bathroom is huge, especially with us because it’s one bathroom that we all use and it’s really small. The design decisions Block suggested make the bathroom feel so much bigger.
