"Lou, Andrew and Lordes were amazing people to work with. We would highly recommend Ranieri Construction to anyone needing pool or decking work. We feel our pool is all set now...better than new!!!! Everyone remarks how nice it looks. Ranieri Construction went above board to meet our needs. They were prompt, always here when they said they would be and continually kept us in the loop of what they were doing and why they were doing it."

"Nesto did a great job installing an above ground pool for me in the Fall of 2015. From excavation to final assembly, all went as planned. I couldn't be happier. Nesto is also a really cool guy, I highly recommend his services!"

"Jon and his team were responsive and did a great job installing a fence and gates around our yard. Their price was competitive. There were a lot of bushes and debris in the way, but they got a big job done quicky. Great attention to detail! I would highly recommend hiring this company for fence installs."

"Joe and Mike arrived at ~7:45 A.M. to fulfill our Angie's List Big Deal sold as, "$649 for up to 16 hours of electrical labor." Both men were pleasant and professional. Upon their arrival we discussed three separate projects, listed above, and work commenced immediately. All three projects were completed in a satisfactory and timely manner and we are pleased with the results. Mike also fixed a non-functional overhead fixture in a closet, an unplanned side project. Both men left our home broom-clean, tidy, and in good order after a day well-spent. We were happy to pay an additional $119.00 for carefully itemized hardware/parts required for completion of our three projects which we thought was reasonable. Joe and Mike departed at ~2:50 P.M. We plan to invite Joe and Mike to return to our home in the near future to complete a 4th electrical project."

"We recently purchased a house which needed a complete landscaping makeover. From several landscaping contractors we decided to go with Pete Indresano and his landscaping architect/designer Diana. It was a big job that included cutting down trees and opening up the area, cleaning up the area to put in truck loads of loam and mulch, putting in an irrigation system and then seeding for a back lawn. Both Pete and Diana were very experienced and knowledgeable, giving great advice on what we should and should not do. Once the work began, Pete was always on site overseeing his men and the subcontractors, and when necessary doing the work himself. The work was completed on time, the grass grew within two weeks of seeding, and the whole area looks great. Pete Indresano was very efficient, responsive to our wants and needs, and the quality of his work was amazing. We will definitely use his service again for spring/fall cleanup and maintenance."

Install Above Ground Pools questions, answered by experts

A good rule of thumb is to add one or two 40-pound bags of salt for every inch of rain, but you’ll want to test your salt levels first to ensure you’re adding the right amount. Rainwater can dilute the salt levels in your pool, so after significant rainfall, test the levels and add the appropriate amount of salt to bring it back to the ideal level.

Building an inground pool is a job best left to the pros. Excavating the area and building the pool requires heavy equipment and specialized training, and pools have complex plumbing and electrical systems. Unless you’re experienced in these areas, you’re better off hiring a pool contractor to make sure the job gets done safely and correctly.

Shipping container pools last up to 25 years. On average, they’re more durable than the standard aboveground pool, which only lasts 10 to 20 years. Their durability is similar to fiberglass in-ground pools. Concrete pools, on the other hand, outlive almost any other type of pool. They can last indefinitely as long as you resurface them as needed.

You can find a leak in an in-ground pool by doing a visual check, the bucket test, and a dye test. Keep in mind that skimmers are usually the culprit for in-ground pool leaks. However, if you cannot detect the leak location after running the tests, it’s a good idea to call in a professional pool repair service.

The most expensive part of building a pool is typically the excavation and labor, which can account for 25% to 50% of the total project cost. This is particularly true for inground pools that require significant excavation, potentially including the rental of large equipment, and extensive construction labor. In contrast, above-ground pools are generally less expensive as they typically do not require excavation and can be installed much more quickly. Concrete in-ground pools are among the most labor-intensive options.
