"I recently hired Coen Brothers Construction on a thorough bathroom renovation, and the outcome was outstanding. Their quality was excellent, and I am delighted with the final result. Their sub-contractors were also great and worked at the same high standards as the Coen Brothers. Although we faced some communication issues at the outset, we eventually worked through them, and it significantly improved throughout the project. They paid attention to detail; when my project manager saw me stripping the trim for reuse, they recommended buying new trim and a lumber yard to get it. And it makes a big difference having new trim with clean, sharp lines. Their tile work took longer than expected, but the miter cuts the trim cuts, and the finish is excellent. They were consistently punctual, respectful of my home, and very tidy - tidying up at the end of each day. While the project took longer than anticipated, the reasonable cost and the team's meticulous attention to detail compensated for it. Coen Brothers Construction also expertly handled all necessary permits and inspections, keeping me informed every step of the way. Overall, I am satisfied with their work and would hire them again for my next project."

"Extremely unreliable. My small bathroom project took months to complete as they just showed up whenever they wanted to. I decided that I wanted new lights and sent a picture of the ones I was getting and ordered them. Luis had someone come and uninstall lights and then tell me the new ones would work. I ended up then ordering new ones and he has promised to come at least four times in the last two weeks and never has. He now says it is not his job to install lights as he completed his contract. He has stated that it?s not his faults things don?t get done - it?s because his workers don?t pick up the phone. Also you will sign a contact with him and then when project is complete, he will say its more than what was agreed upon. Be careful! It?s not fun living with no bathroom lights due to failed promises "

"Review of Rain and Shine Masonry (Owner: Sean Boyne): After Sean waterproofed my foundation and installed a French drain, both failed within weeks, moisture and mold worsened, and a previously dry wall began leaking, leaving me with severe mold and massive repair costs. Despite a contractual 20-year warranty, Sean ignored all my messages and even a police inquiry. His listed ?home and business addresses? are only mailboxes, seemingly to avoid accountability. The project also involved a roof replacement that ended up costing nearly triple a typical price. Midway through, he said my roof plywood was below code, and that I needed major attic reconstruction, including rebuilding all of the roof valleys. The reconstruction turned out to be quite limited. I believe he overcharged by tens of thousands. He first underquoted, then added thousands once work began on the foundation project. Sean is in breach of contract and warranty."

"Did a great Repair on my nasty ceiling. We had popcorn ceiling hiding cracks and other damage for awhile and it was falling apart. Gave me a great price and a convenient date. Showed up promptly, protected my property( carpet and walls) and was pleasant and informative. Painter came today, after everything plastery had dried and now I have a beautiful, even, flat ceiling. He said project team meeting on Wed & would update me then on start date etc. On Fri May 16 I had to reach out to him. He wrote the team had met & materials were ordered. An hour later he wrote back that he was misinformed & that his boss was going to call me next week. Despite this, dep check cashed. On Mon 5. 20 rep wrote back that they had forgotten certain costs & to proceed it would be $8,000 more. Not a typo. $8,000 more. No apology. Ridiculous, contract rescinded. I wrote that he could return my deposit at my office just as he had collected it. On Wednesday the 21st I got a text from "Tom," presumably the owner/boss, saying he would "drop a check in the mail" to my address. Today is May 30th, Friday, and still no check. Check at a minimum should have been overnighted. They owe me interest not to mention the deposit to hire a contractor who will honor contract. Bad."
