"Extremely well. Great communication on scheduling and keeping appointment. They did an excellent job of moving equipment in and out. The basement which is not an easy space to move round in was left spotless. All materials promised had been removed. The team at the house was polite and unobtrusive. Very professional. I recommended them to my neighbor and would use them again."

"I am very happy that I had All Clean Environmental Services to fulfill my project. They are extremely reliable in all aspects, price is reasonable. The terrific asbestos removal job was done, my place is left been very clean. The most important for me was a direct and clear communication with Kevin from the first phone conversation, during the project and after it was finished. He is a very knowledgeable specialist and the nicest person. Kevin went above and beyond making me been comfortable and absolutely worry free. Would like also mention that I appreciate how detailed were Kevin and Sorany with all documentation I was getting from them via emails. Thank you so much, Kevin and Sorany! "They responded immediately to my request and were able to complete the asbestos removal from our basement promptly. MWDR charged a responsible price, showed up on time, and were respectful of our property. Thank goodness we found them as we had a leak in our heating system that could not be repaired until the asbestos was out. MWDR had it done before any other companies were even available to give estimates. Very professional!"

"Let me tell you what a knowledgable kind rofessional individual. He came out to look at our flooring and told us his opinion and also offered us info on where to get a company to come out for a testing. He was so efficient and came out the next day and he didnt even charge us and spent at least a half an hour looking at our flooring and telling us about asbestos. He has been in the business for over 15 years and it's quite obvious. I would recommend him 1000 times over. Thanks again for your great customer service. Diana and Jim"

"Nobody wants to find asbestos in their house - it's one of those unexpected surprises that costs you extra money during an already expensive renovation process. Affordable Environmental lived up to their name and made the process as painless as possible. We hired Brady and his team to remove 7 layers of flooring in our kitchen - 3 of them had asbestos. Brady was quick to respond and honest in his assessment of the problem, as well as our options for removal. He showed up when he said he would be there throughout the entire process and kept us in the loop when delays happened. The job ended up being a much bigger project than any of us expected. Brady handled himself professionally and took extra time/resources to get the job done right without slamming us with additional charges. The guys cleaned up after themselves and Brady followed up with us to make sure we were happy with how everything turned out. All in all, a great experience with a top notch company. Fingers crossed that we won't find any other surprises. But, if we do, I'll be calling Brady."

"Sondro was so polite. When he said it would take a week for the state to issue a permit. He was apologetic. Our asbestos removal job was small so the state waived the hiring of another company. The moment they knew IDG Environmental Services contacted me and were out the next day removing the asbestos. I was most impressed. A very clean area was left behind. No complaints from us ."

Asbestos Removal questions, answered by experts

When asbestos damages the lungs it causes a condition called “asbestosis” which, unfortunately, can’t be cured once it’s damaged the lungs. This condition is chronic and any treatment is undertaken to improve quality of life. This usually involves quitting smoking, being prescribed oxygen, and undergoing lung rehab. Severe cases usually require a lung transplant.

While it's possible to cover asbestos tile with carpet, it's not recommended. Encapsulating tile beneath carpet doesn't eliminate the health risks. Over time, the asbestos tiles could degrade, releasing fibers into the air and potentially contaminating the carpet. Disturbance during carpet installation or removal might also release fibers.

Walking on an asbestos roof can pose a risk. Asbestos roofing materials can become brittle over time, increasing the chances of them breaking or releasing fibers when stepped on. Additionally, walking on an asbestos roof without proper precautions can cause further damage to the material. If possible, avoid touching an asbestos roof in any way and consult with a professional about removing and replacing the roof.

If the tiles are undamaged and in good condition, painting can be a safe method of encapsulating them, but it is important first to evaluate the state of the tiles before proceeding. If the tiles are deteriorating, damaged, or already loose, simply painting over them fails to address the underlying issues that can cause asbestos exposure. It is recommended to consult asbestos abatement experts in such situations to identify the best way to safely manage or remove the asbestos-containing materials. During the painting process, it is crucial to adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to reduce the potential health risks associated with asbestos exposure.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) banned the use of asbestos pipe insulation in certain applications in 1975. It released further bans in 1989 and 2019. While asbestos pipe insulation was common from the 1930s to 1970s, its use fell off after the 1970s due to public concern and the EPA's actions.
