"Extremely well. Great communication on scheduling and keeping appointment. They did an excellent job of moving equipment in and out. The basement which is not an easy space to move round in was left spotless. All materials promised had been removed. The team at the house was polite and unobtrusive. Very professional. I recommended them to my neighbor and would use them again."

"The contractor fully delivered.  They were punctual, professional, clean, said what they did, did what they said, and closed out the job with the proper documentation.
As part of a steam heat boiler replacement project, this crew cleaned/removed asbestos from the outside of the boiler, took apart the whole boiler into its sections, cleaned/removed asbestos from the inside, and then removed the whole boiler from the house.
Documentation was provided to indicate that the removed asbestos was disposed at a licensed disposal facility and the scrap metal was recycled.
The crew of 3 performed their job, cleaned up, and then worked with the air quality technician to take the proper samples.

"They responded immediately to my request and were able to complete the asbestos removal from our basement promptly. MWDR charged a responsible price, showed up on time, and were respectful of our property. Thank goodness we found them as we had a leak in our heating system that could not be repaired until the asbestos was out. MWDR had it done before any other companies were even available to give estimates. Very professional!"

"Let me tell you what a knowledgable kind rofessional individual. He came out to look at our flooring and told us his opinion and also offered us info on where to get a company to come out for a testing. He was so efficient and came out the next day and he didnt even charge us and spent at least a half an hour looking at our flooring and telling us about asbestos. He has been in the business for over 15 years and it's quite obvious. I would recommend him 1000 times over. Thanks again for your great customer service. Diana and Jim"

Asbestos Removal questions, answered by experts

Homeowners’ insurance doesn’t often cover the cost to remove asbestos siding, which averages about $2,900. Insurance policies treat the removal of asbestos siding as regular home maintenance, which insurance doesn’t cover. If your siding suffers damage in a storm, though, it’s possible the insurer may cover the replacement cost, even if the damaged siding contains asbestos.

Asbestos siding can be dangerous, but it doesn't necessarily pose a health risk if it's in good condition and left undisturbed. The danger comes from inhaling asbestos fibers, which can be released if the siding is damaged, deteriorating, crumbling, or disturbed during remodeling or repairs. Exposure to these airborne fibers can cause serious, life-threatening diseases like asbestosis (lung scarring), mesothelioma (an aggressive cancer), and other lung cancers.

If your asbestos siding is intact, the general recommendation is to leave it alone. However, if it's damaged or you plan to renovate, it's crucial to handle it safely. Due to the significant health risks and the difficulty of containing the fibers, it is not recommended to perform any asbestos work yourself. Instead, you should hire a professional asbestos removal company to inspect, repair, encapsulate, or remove the material. The presence of asbestos can also negatively impact your property's value.

If you have an older electrical system with fraying wires and other signs of damage, removal  may be the best course of action. When asbestos begins to break down, it's more likely to become airborne, increasing the risk of health issues when it's inhaled.

However, if the system is in good condition and doesn't have visible signs of wear or damage, leaving it alone may be the safest course of action. An asbestos abatement and removal professional can help you determine the best way to proceed.

Asbestos itself does not typically leak from a roof. However, if an asbestos-containing roof is damaged or deteriorated, it can release asbestos fibers into the air. This can occur when the roof is disturbed, such as during maintenance or repairs, or due to weathering over time. Exposure to airborne asbestos fibers can be harmful to health, so it is important to address any damaged asbestos roofs promptly and safely.

Ensures comprehensive removal and adherence to safety regulations, protecting health.
