"I used JP McCurdy to install recessed lights in my living room. The ceiling was sloped and very high and Shazeeb and Nico did a great job. They also installed overhead lights in bedrooms and put in a 240-volt outlet for a washer/dryer room. They communicated with me about my preferences throughout the job. Their work was professional and clean. They also patched the holes they made, which some electricians wouldn’t do."

"Carlos and the team took the time to understand my needs. They have introduced me to visually pleasing, well thought out, and practical state-of-the-art solutions. Even better is that they partnered with me to ensure that my rooms' design aesthetics were not compromised by any of the components. The many installations I've experienced were always hassle-free, reliable, efficient, professional and timely. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, they are trust-worthy professionals who are kind and considerate to the people with whom they encounter during these installations (kids, neighbors, sitters - even pets)! I would not hesitate to recommend Carlos and his team for any of your A-V needs. They are outstanding!!!!"
Carlos has the speaker installed along with the TV mount well underway. Xfinity cable box, Sonos amplifier etc all concealed down within the homes basement! Out of sight, out of mind!
Carlos installing 1 of 4 RING Solar Cams overlooking the clients driveway.
Sometimes you just have to smile and kill them with kindness... LOL!
120" projection screen w/ backlighting and 5.1 speaker system
TV's don't have to always look like a TV. Why not match your TV and audio system to match the aesthetics in your room?
Here we installed a Samsung Frame TV and Sonos Beam soundbar (both in white).

"It went very well. Michael is a true professional and was very good about letting us know what he had to do to fix a problem that another contractor had caused over the summer. His work was very neat and tidy and thorough. I would definitely recommend Perennial to others in search of a contractor."

Lighting questions, answered by experts

While most general electricians can repair lamps and light fixtures, it is often better to hire a lamp repair specialist. Many electricians prefer larger jobs, such as fixing electrical systems or relocating fixtures, and may not offer lamp repair services due to the small scale of the work. Additionally, some lamps, particularly antique models, require dedicated expertise that a general electrician might not have. A lamp repair specialist will be familiar with various types of fixtures and can provide a more dedicated service. If you have already hired an electrician for a larger project, you can ask them to look at your lamp, but for a standalone repair, a specialist is typically the best option.

Yes, professional landscape lighting is typically worth the investment. Installing a lighting system can improve your home’s curb appeal, safety, and security, and it can also deter burglars. It adds value to your home by creating a brightly-lit outdoor space you can use after dark and making the property more appealing to potential buyers. According to the National Association of Realtors, landscape lighting can add up to $2,500 to your home’s value, and on average, this type of home improvement has a 50% return on investment.

Pool lights are designed to be safe by protecting swimmers from electrocution. These lights are made with waterproof fixtures and seals to prevent contact with the water.

Electrocution from pool lights is still possible, but rare. Faulty wiring or broken lighting equipment can make lights unsafe, so it’s important to replace lights as needed and have an electrician inspect and upgrade the wiring.

While wet-rated and damp-rated lighting is designed to handle contact with moisture, there’s a difference between the two. Wet-rated lighting is safety-rated to be placed in areas with direct exposure to water, including your shower. Fixtures classed as wet-rated are made with waterproof seals to protect the filament and other electrical components from water and moisture.

Damp-rated fixtures can be used in places with some moisture contact, but not direct exposure. They don’t have the same waterproof seals used in wet-rated fixtures. Damp-rated lighting can be used on your bathroom ceiling or along a wall outside of your shower.

The easiest and best way to power your outdoor lights is with the use of outdoor outlets. Most building codes now require exterior outlets in homes, so you likely already have outdoor outlets available to plug into. However, you can have these outlets installed if your space doesn’t currently include them.
