"Brandon showed up to install recessed lights and other electrical work as part of a kitchen renovation. He clearly explained my options and advised on best approaches as well as best practices. Before installing the lights, he went through a few specifics of how the process would work, specific to my home, where there was a central air duct to potentially contend with close to a spot where I wanted one of the lights and we discussed the approach so I knew what to expect in advance. He was careful and conscientious about my protecting my new floors, before beginning work, he carefully planned out the lights, carefully installed them by himself quickly but without rushing, and then helped me plan out other phases of the electrical work for project. Phenomenal experience, and a really hardworking guy. Showed up when he said he would and I look forward to moving the rest of the kitchen project along so I can reach back out to Brandon soon for the next phase of the project. Very grateful for Brandonâ s work and guidance with the whole process."

"Communication was very excellent. They are very good with time and I love that when you call the office and somebody answer. Irrigation looks so well and they build an automatic system."

Customers say: Super punctual

"Tess is excellent. We moved to a house that is much larger than our house before. The rooms needed help in terms of paint color, light fixtures, flooring. We needed furniture, curtains, rugs. It was overwhelming. Tess helped every step of the way. She has a gift with color. She chose paint colors for the whole house that are in harmony with each other. She somehow knows innately how to put different fabrics together in terms of furniture, curtains, rugs so that one is left feeling inspired to sit in the room. When I went to the various stores to make purchases, she always had a contact there who I could deal with directly. Sometimes she even went to the stores for me. I find her extremely reliable in terms of communication and delivery of service. She is so knowledgeable about design. She truly has a gift for this. I am still working on the house and I keep her contact information handy."

Lighting questions, answered by experts

Although security lighting may not deter a determined burglar, its presence will make your property that much less enticing to would-be trespassers. When paired with other types of home security systems like alarms and surveillance cameras, strong lights will better help you and the authorities identify thieves in the instance they attempt to break in or succeed at doing so.

The cost of lamp repair generally ranges from $30 to $150, with an average cost of around $75. Common repairs like rewiring or replacing a switch typically cost around $60 and $80, respectively. The final price depends on factors such as the type of lamp, the complexity of the issue, and the parts required. Keep in mind that repair costs may be higher for ornate or antique lamps. It's a good practice to ask for a price quote from a professional lamp repair service to determine if the investment is worthwhile.

Between seasons, inspect cords for damage, replace burnt-out bulbs, and clean lighting fixtures to prevent dirt buildup. Proper storage in cool, dry conditions will extend the lights' lifespan and minimize repairs or replacements when redeployed.

Yes! As a matter of fact, there are many sensors that add motion to existing outdoor lights. These motion sensors attach to pre-existing flood lights and other outdoor lights without any fussy and potentially dangerous electrical work. Additionally, some flood lights and related fixtures ship with motion sensors built-in.

You can take a few steps to prolong the life of your holiday lights. Make sure to replace burnt-out bulbs as quickly as possible to avoid overloading the rest of the circuit and knocking out more lights. Before packing them up each year, plug each strand into the wall to confirm everything is still working. Wrap the lights carefully back into their original packaging or something similar—winding a strand tightly together or leaving it to hang loose in a storage bin can lead to frayed or damaged wiring.
