"Michael and his crew are very professional. Michael came out and gave me an estimate (which was final price) and was very through on what would be included in price. He seemed to be very accommodating as far as work that needed to be completed. I got quite a few estimates, but chose to hire MJ Masonry even though they were not the least expensive due to the way Michael carried himself. Crew worked very hard for 6 days to complete a retaining wall 60' long by 6' high. They were clean and courteous. The wall came out so nice I wish it weren't on the backside of property where no one can see. I would definitely hire again and highly recommend MJ Masonry."

"After consulting with a couple of other companies, I made the decision to go with Next Level Concrete and Masonry and I am so glad that I did. From start to finish, Esvin and crew were a pleasure to work with; the price was reasonable; the work was done timely; and the finished driveway is amazing. Thank you Esvin … I will be referring you to others for certain."

Customers say: Terrific value

"BEST JOB EVER! We hired Cuccio Masonry after several estimates to tear down and build a new set of front entry stairs with platform and walkway to our drive. We have to say... key word... COMMUNICATION. Mark was the foreman on the job, and he was FANTASTIC. The team showed up every morning at 8:00 am and they left every evening with the place looking meticulously clean. We were so thrilled with the results. Mark would measure and lay things out and ask us if they were to our liking. If there was anything we weren't 100% happy with, he would work with us until we were happy. Bob (the owner) showed up throughout the entire job and was open and informative to any changes we suggested. This is a company that is willing to work with you throughout the entire process. Just the estimate alone, we the homeowners made several changes and not once did Bob get upset, in fact he worked with us to create our vision while staying within our budget. And Oh... the little things... Mark rang the bell one morning and asked us to shut the front window so that we would not have masonry dust in the house. Who thinks about that? They swept the driveway, raked the lawn and took all the debris with them. We mentioned we were looking for a few big boulders for the corner of our property. Not only did they deliver, but they asked us where we wanted them so they could place them accordingly. We wish we had more work so we could hire them again. They treated our property as if it were their own. When the job was complete, several cars stopped and commented on the beautiful job. No wonder this company has been in business for 35+ years. Our recommendation... HIRE THEM, YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED. Margarette and Richard Poillucci Feel free to stop by and take a look."

Masonry questions, answered by experts

In most cases, painting your brick house is a fine idea that can open up new aesthetic possibilities. However, the paint can slightly shorten the life span of brick, especially if moisture gets trapped underneath the paint layer. Once you paint, you’ll have to keep up with maintenance to avoid flaking and blisters.

Yes, you can cut patio stones with a circular saw. Similar to using an electric grinder, you will need to use a diamond blade as this is the most effective blade for cutting a material like stone. The stone must be wet when using a circular saw to ensure the cut is smooth.

They provide excellent heat retention and durability and add a classic aesthetic to a home.

The United States Postal Service (USPS) recommends placing a mailbox 6 inches to 8 inches back from the curb. If your lot is unusual, speak with town authorities or the local post office to determine the correct placement.

Mortar is a mixture of sand and cement that binds materials, such as bricks, stones, and concrete blocks, together. Think of it as the glue that fills in the gaps between bricks and stones, then seals them in place to prevent damage or deterioration. Mortar also helps spread the load across a wall or structure, keeping cracks and shifting at bay.
