"Originally hired MJ Masonry to replace an existing railroad tie retaining wall and like most projects there was mission creep. I asked Michael of MJ Masonry if they were interested in taking on 2 additional projects: replacing an old stockade fence with a new one, and replacing a cement walkway with a stone walkway. We agreed on the price of the 2 additions and all projects were completed to the original schedule within 3 weeks of the start date. Details of the projects: 1. Retaining Stone Wall is over 130 linear feet 2. Stockade Fence is approximately 88 linear feet 3. Stone Walkway is approximately 63 square feet The workers lead by Jose are consummate professionals. They went above and beyond what is required to do their job. It was the little things like cleaning up after themselves and repairing annoyance type things that is not in the contract without being asked. At the end of the entire project, my wife and I were so pleased with MJ Masonry's work, we gave them a modest bonus. The icing on the cake was when some of our neighbors coming over and telling us the day after the projects completion that the Retaining Stone Wall, the Stockade Fence, and the Stone Walkway looks beautiful."

"My backyard had a failing timber wall that the previous owner had propped up with posts, and had allowed it to lean into rapidly deteriorating shed. Jim's crew came in, removed the shed and timber wall, and also removed an intact but inadequate stone wall extending from the backyard to the street, a total distance of around 40 feet. He replaced that entire length with a beautiful split-faced masonry wall and poured a new concrete walkway to improve access to the backyard. Jim is the ultimate professional. He takes great pride in his work, loves to talk masonry and answer questions about the project, and is very transparent about pricing. The walkway was an add-on to the original project scope due to some unexpected circumstances uncovered during excavation, but he explained this at length and took photos so I could see why the additional work was required. I would not hesitate to hire him again or recommend his services."

"I hired M&M Waterproofing & Masonry LLC to repair brick stairs that was really in bad shape. I was actually thinking of having the stairs demolished and new ones built in it's place. Melvin told me he could repair them for less than half the cost of replacing the stairs. the repaired stairs came out great. He told me he'd have them done in a week. He arrived at 8:AM every morning starting on 6/17 and finished today 6/21. He worked through all those days that saw temperatures in the upper 90's. I also want to give a shout out to Eddie's Iron Works. Melvin contracted them to design and install a beautiful wrought iron rail to complete the project.
