"Gary is very pleasant and professional to work with. Communication is great, pricing is fair and the quality of his work is top notch. The project he completed for me was taping/finishing the drywall in my 1500 sq ft 3 bedroom apartment with 9' ceilings. He was able to complete the job (and a few extra patches) in about 5/6 days by himself. Finished product is perfect and would definitely hire him again for any future work. For maximum stability, install grab bars on wall studs, as this will adequately support the weight. However, if you don't have access to studs, you can get by with wall anchors. If opting for the latter, choose specialty hollow wall anchors. 

Brick and stucco are a lot more different. You must use picture hanging clips designed for brick walls, or use a plaster rail system with adjustable hooks. You can usually tell if you have plaster or drywall by touch (plaster is harder, colder, and smoother than drywall) or by tapping on it (drywall sounds hollow, plaster does not). If you still cannot tell, peek under an outlet cover and check the cut edges. The rough edges show the composition of the wall. You will see either drywall (two paper sheets sandwiching gypsum material) or only plaster material (no paper sheets).
