"Rainmaker Painting was fantastic to work with. I met face-2-face with four local painting companies before selecting Rainmaker. Chris and his Team did not disappoint! Fantastic prep work, repaired ceilings, moldings and even an antique front door that needed some attention. All this prep showed in the final results which was a stunning transformation. My wife and I were super impressed with the results after Rainmaker painted our ENTIRE house each room a separate color. The quality of paint and other materials along with Rainmakers experience and attention to detail makes all the difference. We highly recommend Rainmaker Painting, absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish (YES they even cleaned up after themselves :-) too."

"My husband and I initially hired Alex to power wash then stain our deck. Since my husband at a young student, painted homes, he was aware of Alex’ meticulous work. Most recently, Alex, power washed our house followed by painting the interior of our home, as well as the exterior trim of our home. He replaced boards that were damaged by bees on the outside shed. Alex was punctual, polite, and a spotless cleaner upper. A gold star painter!"

Customers say: Terrific value

"FCL Painting did an excellent job. Felipe answered my emails when I had additional questions. His crew is hard working. I had walls and ceilings done and they look brand new. They showed up on time, cleaned everything at the end of each day and were just a pleasure to work with."

"Charles is an exceptional painter and human being. I would hire him again in a blink of an eye. He is consistent, thorough and extremely knowledgeable about paint and materials. He painted the interior of our 850 sq foot home, was so pleased with his work and ethic so we hired him to paint and repair the exterior trim and porch of our house. He is wonderful!"

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

While the EPA provides guidelines for homeowners to perform DIY lead paint removal, it is a risky process and generally not recommended due to serious health risks and strict regulatory requirements. The process requires precise safety precautions, such as wearing a respirator and protective eyeglasses, creating sealed exits, and using a HEPA vacuum for cleanup. To ensure the job is done safely, effectively, and in compliance with regulations, it is highly recommended to hire a professional lead abatement company. Certified professionals have the necessary training, experience, and specialized equipment (like chemical strippers and HEPA vacuums) to handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely.

Yes, a magic eraser can remove candle wax. You can use it to remove all the candle wax from start to finish. Another option is to remove all large clumps with a dull knife and then pull out your magic eraser to finish the job. However, while the results can be impressive, a magic eraser shouldn’t be used on all surfaces since it can potentially damage them. If you try this method, test a small, hidden spot first and proceed cautiously.

You can sand paint off a wall. However, it's difficult and time-consuming. Depending on why you wish to remove the paint, there are simpler ways to achieve similar results. Scraping off any loose paint and applying a skim coat is the most common way to hide a damaged wall or paint job.

Yes, you can pressure wash epoxy floors, but you must take precautions to avoid damaging the surface. While most epoxy floors can be cleaned with a mop, you might choose to pressure wash if the floor is stained, has ground-in dirt, or is covered with mold or mildew. To do so safely, first soak any stains or dirty areas with a gentle cleanser. Use a lower pressure setting with a gentle nozzle, such as a green, white, or black tip, or a 45-degree angled tip. Keep the spray nozzle at least 18 inches away from the floor to protect the surface. Using a surface cleaner attachment or a rotary scrubber can also help prevent overspray. Be cautious if using a power washer that heats the water, as the combination of heat and pressure may be too powerful and could damage the epoxy coating.

Pressure washing is the best way to remove paint that’s already peeling from certain types of vinyl and aluminum siding and some masonry. However, if the paint is largely intact and not yet peeling, or if your siding material can’t withstand the pressure, you may need to use other methods, such as chemical paint strippers, a heat gun, a paint scraper, or sanding.
