Have contracts with various property managers and brokers, but also do plenty of home owners on the side, and because of the other clients and low overhead (and agreements that give deeper discounts on paint than typical for contractors), I can usually save people money and am happy to do it to keep busy between the other clients. You should paint your home exterior every five to 10 years, on average. Climate and surroundings can affect how well paint holds up. Wood siding will likely need a fresh coat of paint every three to seven years. Paint on brick tends to last about eight to 17 years, on average.
Professional painters charge $20 to $50 per hour, on average.
